“Good location and helpful staff, but not much charm”

The Louvre Richelieu has two main things in its favor: (1) a very convenient location and (2) helpful and informed staff. It doesn't have much charm. The room was very plain with a view of an air shaft. The lobby/breakfast area is very plain and windowless. Of the six hotels in Paris I've stayed in it has the least charm. If you want a convenient location and helpful staff at a fairly economical price for Paris, this might be a good choice. If you want charm it would not be a good choice.
