“Ok little spot close to nothing”
A typical Paris small hotel with the exception that it has unusually large bathrooms which may be how it earned its 4th star. Breakfast is typical Paris style buffet of cereals, cured meets, cheese and assorted rolls served in a nice room. Although it is officially in the Marais it is a hearty hike to the charming area where all of the wonderful shops and cafes are but walkable non the less. Friendly and helpful folks at the front desk.
“Charming Little Palace”
The Little Palace is a charming hotel. I believe about 70 rooms with various shapes, sizes, and views. It is an older hotel as many in Paris are. The service is efficient and friendly. The room I had was larger than others I saw, but didn't have a view. It was pleasant for the extra space, and beign in the back, for being quiet. A room that a colleague had (along the front of the building on an upper floor) was MUCH smaller, but had a small balcony with a nice view of the Eiffel tower, which I think more than made up for the size. To each his own though. I would recommend expressing your preference. There may be options. The location is convenient for business travel if you are comfortable getting around by the metro as it is close to three underground stops that cover multiple lines. This is also good for a tourist who wants to easily get to the center of activities but stay in a quieter, slightly out of the way location. As I recall the breakfast buffet was a little pricy by American standards, but remember, this is Paris.
“Excellent service”
I arrived into Paris at 6 am, and to the hotel by 6:45. The manager-on-duty, a young, responsible man, saw how tired I was and got me into a room by 7:45 when his staff came in, although my reservation was for 12 noon. I took a much needed nap and had a wonderful day in Paris. The location of the hotel is a bit of a walk from the Marais quarter, but considering that this is Paris, it was really not that bad. It is really close to line 4 making metro travel very convenient.
“A very quaint Paris Hotel.”
Very nice folk at this hotel. Front desk is very knowledgable about tourist kind of things. My room was on the 7th floor and I had a lovely little balcony with two chairs and a table. I had a wonderful view of the french roofs and of the Eifel Tower. Room and bathroom is small but most European hotels are. Breakfast was yummy with french croissant and pastry. Excellent french coffee. I really loved this hotel and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Very central to Metro. Also this hotel is in the heart of Les Halle which is now the garment district of Paris. Got some fabulous deals in some shops on trousers and jackets for the fall. Also some very fine restaurants.
“Little Palace Hotel, Paris France”
The hotel is in the heart of the clothing district, but don't try to buy any. If you don't own a shop, they will not sell to you. The hotel is located across the street from Park Central park. The crowd there, gets a little loud, but by the time you bed down or awake, no one is really there. The rooms and bathrooms are quite small. I had the single room with a shower stall. I was comfortable because I'm small and I didn't spend much time in the room anyway, however, if you are trying to cut costs and have two share, just know you will be on top of each other. But it's doable. It was comfortable and I slept well there. If I traveled to Paris alone again, I'd go back there. If I went with friends, they may not be that accepting. But it was fine to me. The elevator is very small; only enough room for you and your luggage. If there this no luggage, three small framed people could board, but it would be tight. Take the stairs it's quicker. They charge 15 Euros for breakfast each day if you choose to have it, which I didn't. I got a pastry and coffee from local stores for about 4 Euro and was fine. At check out they didn't verify if I had breakfast or not, they just asked if I did. Always greet the staff with a bonjour! or bonsoir! and things will go smoother. Again, I would go back there.
“Great little hotel in Paris!”
We were very satisfied with this hotel. Room and bathroom were large for Paris standard--we liked that we had a small sofa and chair in the room so we didn't have to sit on the bed all the time. Staff was friendly and efficient, though there was some confusion with the night staff regarding arranging an airport transfer the following morning (it ended up not getting booked but the morning staff promptly got us a taxi which ended up costing less anyway). Hotel was undergoing refurbishment when we were there--we were not disturbed by any noise but occassionally encountered supplies/tools in the hallway. It is a bit on the outskirts of the Marais area but close to main streets and a 5 minute walk to many great cafes and restaurants. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again.
“Sufficient”
The hotel is very conveniently located by a metro station - something which I recommend all travelers to Paris to consider traveling on and staying by as it is affordable and reliable. The hotel in itself is cute and small (like most Paris mid range hotels). It is clean enough and the people at the front desk were helpful. The room was okay, but probably 1 too many pieces of furniture in the small space - 1st time travelers to Paris need to understand that all rooms are small and expensive in Paris relatively speaking at the mid range. The bed was awful and well worn, with every spring felt when you lie on it. Both the hairdryer and lamp didn't work. The bathroom was sufficiently clean, but not stocked with enough toiletries (q-tips, cotton pads, etc) so bring your own. It's not impressive, but it's sufficient for a few days in Paris.
“Charming hotel in the heart of Paris”
Friendly staff. Lovely decor. Great location in the 3eme--just steps away from the metro in a safe neighborhood that's not overwhelmed with tourists.
“Good value and convenient location in Paris”
Small hotel as always in Paris but staff is nice, service is good. Isolation is poor so you can hear the noise in the next room... I do not recommend to pay 15 euros for the breakfast. It is way too expensive! You'd better go outside in a cafe nearby and buy your croissant in a bakery.
“Impressed!”
I was quite impressed with the Little Palace Hotel in Paris...the location, although not right in the center of the Marais, was central to several areas, the room was modern and spacious, and the breakfast room and food was terrific. For a self-proclaimed "hotel snob", I was incredibly satisfied.
