“Small but clean and all you need on a budget!”
Room is very, very small only 1 foot walk space on two sides of bed but very clean with all the essentials, a/c, hair dryer, phone, internet, desk, large window, shower, toilet, clean towels and nice staff that speak English. They stored bags on last day. The hotel is under construction in the lobby but no noise or dust. Convenient to two train stations Gare de Nord and Est but sleazy area. Good food and inexpensive wine close by at the market. Not close to attractions like Eiffel Tower but close to bus lines. If you are on a budget this is a good buy; I would stay again. Take a day tour to Epernay in the wine country on the Gare de Est train! Also, great restaurant just steps away that serves pizza and pasta; best pizza EVER!!
“Convenient to Gare du Nord”
We recently stayed at Libertel Gare du Nord Suede and were pretty satisfied with the condition and service at the hotel. We had a triple room and it was quite adequate. The lift could just barely accomodate three people with baggage. However, a warning is in order. The area around this hotel is not good. When traveling around the city on the metro, use the Gare du Nord terminal, not Gare de Este. Gare du Nord is closer and the short walk to the hotel is on Blvd. Magenta and not some of the darker and rougher back streets coming over from Gare de Este. For men or couple this would be a satisfactory hotel. Not for women traveling alone.
“Definetely I will stay again”
It is a small hotel, but it is comfortable, clean and excellent location near to gare du nord. People are friendly and good price.
“A little disappointed”
My biggest disappointment was the breakfast. it was minimal and poor. However, the hotel staff were very attending and accomodating. Hotel location is good 10-15 minutes walking distance to the Coliseum. Nice restaurants in sorrounding areas. Wallpaper in our room was peeling, overalll the room needs improvements, but bigsize.
“Will Stay Here Again”
I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Paris for its convenient location, especially the vast amount of good restaurants, location to the metro and. My only criticism is the very small bathrooms. Everything else was fine and I would definitely stay here on my next visit.
“Acessibility on the cheap”
This hotel is within 5 minutes walking distance of Gare Du Nord. I needed a hotel in the area because I was heading out of Paris on the Eurostar the next day and didn't want to hassle with taking the Metro. The RER from Charles De Gaulle runs directly to Gare Du Nord. My room was small but pleasant. The window opened out on a courtyard with a painted mural. Since it wasn't facing the street it was quiet. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast wasn't anything to write home about, you'll probably get a better deal if you go to one of the many sidewalk cafes in the area. The hotel clerk spoke good English and was able to help with questions. All in all, a very good room for the deal I got; close to where I needed to be and since Gare Du Nord is a major hub you can get a Metro, bus or train to any of the major tourist spots.
“Comfortable and very good value.”
Very conveniently located near Gare du Nord, very clean and good for it's price. I stayed there because I was leaving Paris the next morning so I wanted to be near the tran station but I don't love the zone where it is located, but if you want a not so expensive hotel, this is a great choice. It also has good restaurants near by that close late.
“Small but good”
Very small room, bathroom VERY small shower you can barely turn around in. But the bed is comfortable. Wireless in the room free. A/C in the room. We would stay here again. Close to the train station and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
“Paris Trip”
This hotel was a pleasant surprise to us! We will definitely stay there again. Great location, one block from Gare du Nord and one block from McDonald's.
“Stay away”
Upon arrival at Gare De Nord train station, the area is filled with gypsy women asking for money, homeless drunks asking for money and creepy people staring at you. It didn't feel safe and yet it was afternoon time. The hotel is only 2 blocks away. Granted the restaurants around the train station are great but be careful when walking around. About the hotel: Breakfast was in their basement and hot. The cost is 8 euro per person. Not worth it. They only had 2 types of croissants, cereal and drinks. Save your money and go to the pastry shop across the street. Hotel air conditioning was great since it was hot in Paris. The size of the room was terrible. There is no closet. There are 3 pegs that stick out of the wall. Once you put your suitcase down, you could barely walk around the bed. It was the smallest room I've ever seen. The bathroom was worse. I am 5' 8" and weigh about 180 pounds. I could barely walk in there. They built the sink right in front of the toilet. So imagine sitting on the toilet and the sink was against my chest! Everyone said this was convenient but I disagree. Even though the metro is 2 blocks away, it takes 3 trains to get to the Eiffel Tower and 2 to get to the Arc of Triumph. If I go back to Paris I would rather stay in those areas.
