“Excellent location, wonderfully helpful owner!”
The location was perfect for discovering Paris on foot, as all the "touristy" landmarks are either in easy walking distance, or a few metro stops away. The area is beaming with little restaurants, shops, cafes, art galleries, etc, and the residence itself was very quiet considering the bustling life around it! The best part of this particular location was the wonderful owner / manager, who was extremely accommodating and helpful, and let us check in early and check out late at no extra charge. It was a wonderfully considerate touch that we valued more than he will ever know. We found the price very, very good, especially considering the excellent location, cleanliness and space in the residence. I would recommend this place to anyone on a budget wishing to visit Paris. Thankyou!
“Perfect location”
Great location, friendly staff, and an all around good experience. We were not looking for anything fancy. We wanted a clean, safe, inexpensive, and friendly place to crash for our short weekend in Paris. This place was perfect. The room was small, very small actually. It had a small kitchenette and a tiny bathroom. This room was nothing fancy, but it was clean, and perfect for us. Inexpensive, and in the center of the action....just what we wanted. Would defiantly recommend staying here.
“Tremendous value”
I was a bit hesitant based on mixed reviews I had seen prior. I knew not to expect daily maid service and fresh towels each day and that the front desk would not be manned often. The room was very small but extremely clean. Had requested two beds but only got one fold-out couch, which was very comfortable. I really loved having the kitchenette. It was fully outfitted with nice dishes, classes, silverware, utensils, pots, pans and serving dishes. Small fridge, two hot plates, microwave and coffee maker all in excellent working order. It saved us a ton of money. I would definitely stay there again for the kitchen, cleanliness, quiet, price and fabulous location - right in the heart of the Latin Quarter about 4 blocks from Notre Dame. Convenient to subway and RER (train) station and when there, the hotel host was extremely cordial and helpful. If he's not there when you check in, go to the St. Germain Latin cafe right next door - they should have your key. All in all, a great find.
“Convenient, reasonably-priced apartment in Paris”
This hotel was very conveniently located and met our needs for the stay. We had read other reviews about the hotel and were prepared to make up our beds. There was ample crockery etc in the kitchenette. The reception was not staffed at the times indicated on the notice on the door (which differed slightly from the website perhaps because it was the Christmas-New Year holiday period). However, we were attended to after making a phone call (lucky my daughter was with us and she had a phone).
“Not your standard hotel, but would return”
Despite the issues with checking in on their off-days, the units are 2-levels and provide ample space for a family, including a small kitchen with refrigerator, sink, basic cooking and eating utensils and 2 burners. This was very helpful in making our trip more budget-friendly. There are 2 affordable supermarkets closeby, metro stations just 1 block and 5 minute walk to Notre Dame and Cluny Museum. Aside from the check-in issues, I would recommend this hotel to others. You should consider this hotel to be more like an apartment building with a concierge who works 5-days a week. There is no evening help, there is no housekeeping. The concierge spoke little English. If you speak some French and don't mind doing a bit of extra work, the apartment-like set up was great. All the instructions on access codes, keys, unit information and contact information were provided in French. If you need English translation, I suggest you indicate that when you book.
“You get what you pay for.”
Probably not something to recommend with an enthusiasm, but you get what you pay for. OK standard, quite pleasant and helpful stuff - all located near city centre - just off Notre Dame. I'm sure you can get much better hotels in Paris - but for the price and for our needs (somewhere to stay overnight) it was satisfactory. The only real complaint would be the shower - we didn't expect hot water to run out straight after the first person's usage and the actual shower cubical is really small with a bit dodgy curtain.
