“Excellent Facilities--Will Return”

My wife & I were in Paris in July. The hotel facilities were very good. Room was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The staff was excellent. Very helpful, courteous and informative. We were on the 9th floor and had good view of city and districts. We plan to return soon and will use this hotel again. Centrally located, access to Metro, taxi, bus with great cafes nearby. The rooms are not as large as in US hotels but adequate. We were not disappointed. We used other hotels in the south of France which were smaller. Highly recommend the Le Meriden for a stay in Paris. Beautiful city, beautiful people. The city is "alive" into the wee hours of the morning.

“The staff made us feel welcome”

Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The concierge desk staff were especially helpful in trying to track down our luggage that United and Air France were determined to keep lost for 3 days. Everyone spoke English or tried enthusiastically. They certainly seem to understand service with a smile. Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel had 2 internet terminals and a printer available 24 hours (helpful when dealing with the airlines...). We have no complaints and only good memories regarding Le Meridien Etoile.

“Great Location!”

The only downside was that the bed was a bit firm for me, but I like my beds soft. It is in a great location with a metro across the road that you can access through the shopping center. The Metro takes you to the main sites and you can get the RER to the Eiffel Tower. The shopping center has a grocery store, Sephora, an Angelina Tea Room, and many other shops.

“Great place to stay!”

A very nice hotel at a very good price. Rooms are nice, and the best things about Le Meridien Etoile are (1) staff who are very kind and helpful (and yes, all speak English), (2) proximity to Porte Maillot metro station, (3) proximity to Cars Air France buses making the trip to/from the airport simple. There also is an amazing grocery store in the basement of the center across the street, so you can pick up your bottled water, toiletries, snacks for the room, or even complete meals at reasonable prices.

“Excellent - but pricy w/extras & food”

Great Hotel. location good for eiffel tower andlocal business. Jazz club is great - although drinks run around $22 each plus cover. They charge for everything - and very expensinve ($12 coke, etc).

“Great hotel”

Having read previous reviews, I was not exactly sure of what to expect. I was positively surprised, however. First, I was automatically upgraded to the deluxe room given my club membersip, without any prior request. Second, the room and the hotel as a whole were beautifully decorated. Third, the Air France airport bus-stop right across the street is a real plus. And, so is the mall across the street. Fourth, the large and comfortable lobby creates a great atmosphere for interacting. Finally, though I did not make use of the jazz-music show, I understand that it is quite enjoyable. I hope the hotel continues to be affordable (I got a good discount deal through Expedia). If so, I will certainly be a repeated customer.
