“Do not consider this hotel”

This was the most horrible hotel experience of my life. My daughter & I had a confirmed room with twin beds, but when we checked in , we were given a stuffy, cramped room in the attic with one double bed. The room was stiffling hot and stuffy without a fan or air conditioning, despite outside temperatures in the 90's and high humidity. The sheets were filthy and obviously unwashed with dirty shoeprints and covered with hair. The bathroom door would not close. Immediately above the bed, there were stairs leading up to a creepy, unlit storage unit full of old furniture and other debris. Rat droppings were everywhere. Our room was on the 5th floor, but the elevator was out of service. Wireless internet was available, but only worked in the lobby, not our room. The lobby was sleezy and had no chairs to sit in. The hotel staff did absolutely nothing to rectify our situation other than to shrug their shoulders and utter "pas possible" when I asked for a room change. As a consequence of a sleepless night, we had no choice but to check out of the hotel the next morning, but the hotel refused to offer us a refund for the 4 unused days we had paid for in advance.
