“Reservation not honored”

I booked this hotel for us and our friends. We had 4 adults and 3 kids under the age of 5. The quote was for seven people in one room. I had to call to make the reservation with Expedia since there was a computer error that kept coming up. The operator was able to make the reservation, but when we arrived the reception lady told us they were not expecting , only 4 adults and that we couldn't all stay in one room and we'd need another room (doubling the price). So much for our overnight in Versailles. Also interesting that since within the last week they have changed their name on Expedia. The sign on the building reads Hotel Le Versailles.
