“Excellent location. Would definately go back.”
Date of stay: May 23rd 08 to May 26th 08. We would definately go back to L'Empire hotel. The location was superb, just a few minutes stroll from the Louvre museum and from the Pont Neuf, Notre Damne and the Latin Quarter. The staff were extremely helpful and spoke excellent english, even though we tried our most basic french. Breakfast was pricey so we ate in the local cafes and restaurants nearby which were all very good with a wonderful atmosphere. The rooms are of a good size and the bed was just massive and extremely comfortable. The nice touches were the slippers and bath robes although some of the bathroom fittings could have been of a better quality and there could have been more places to hang wet towels etc. Other than that a wonderful break in a fantastic location at a reasonable price. The umbrellas by the door were a nice touch on the rainy days.
“Location”
The locastion was excellent and the hotel gave a great sense of upscale Paris.
“Nice place to stay”
L'Empire Hotel is a very nice place to stay. Our room was nice, comfortable, and large enough. The staff was helpful. The location is extremely good, near the Ile, Louvre, etc. Located on a quiet street, about 1/2 block from a throughfare, it was easy to hail a cab for our longer excursions. We plan to return there in the future.
“Extremely pleasant”
Staff is extremely courteous and efficient. Rooms were immaculate. Loved the hotel. Will definitely reserve there on any future visit. Close to virtually everything, really within walking distance. This being our second trip to Paris the hotel truly made a big difference.
“perfect location”
We stayed in this boutique hotel for two nights and loved the location near to the louvre and close to some really nice bars and restaurants. The room was pleasant and a reasonable size and the minibar was stocked with Hediard products. The only downside was the low water pressure in the bathroom - it was impossible to get really hot water at much more than a trickle. This may have been due to the room being in the attic so it might be worth asking for a room on a lower floor. The attic rooms have tons of character but in addition to the water pressure issue it's worth noting that the lift only goes as far as the penultimate floor and you have to take the stairs for the last floor. These were minor issues for us and we would definitely go back.
“Great Hotel”
This was a real gem of a hotel, I took my girlfriend for a romantic weekend and the staff couldn't have been more helpful in suggesting excellent reasonably priced restaurants and giving us advice on site-seeing. It is right by the Louvre and for the trian station to Euro-Disney.
“very nice room”
was afraid it would not look as nice as the pictures, since we were only renting the twin room, but it was as beautiful as portrayed on the website. the staff was friendly and helpful, and we were just 2 blocks from the Louvre!
“L Empire was a perfect hotel as I was travelling with my two daughters”
Cannot say enough about how great the staff was, especially the ones at the front desk, they were so helpful and friendly., breakfast staff was great too. We enjoyed our stay very much as we had a studio which consisted of a King bed in the bedroom and the other room had a pull out sofa. The rooms were large and with 3 females we had no problems with space. The location was good too as we were able to walk to most places. Would highly recommend this lovely hotel. Merci!!!!!
“Nous y retournerons”
Hôtel extrêmement bien situé à quelques minutes du Louvre, des magasins, du métro, de la rue Saint-Honorée, quelques minutes de la basilique Notre-Dame.... Nous ne pouvions pas être mieux situé! Personnel serviable. La chambre que nous avions était située au dessus de la porte d'entrée et bien bruyante. Nous l'avons mentionné au personnel et ils nous ont changé volontiers de chambre (en nous upgradant sans frais!)
“good location and friendly staff”
close to louvre, closest metro station is louvre-rivoli stop. we booked another hotel for part of our stay but decided to stay here whole time. Breakfast booked with room is bargain ($20 euros for two) but otherwise can get better deals elsewhere. They book your credit card up front for your whole stay but refund any differences. They do allow smoking in rooms; our rooms did not smell like smoke but at one point could smell smoke from an adjacent room. Bed soft and comfy (like Westin in US)-king size in Paris! but some evidence of wear in bathrooms, etc. Can hear some noise at times (other rooms, outside hotel) but never enough to keep us awake. Clientele of many nationalities were here, not many english channels. bar downstairs, good mojitos w/real mint!
