“Great value surprise.”
An astonishingly good value lux surprise moments from Eurostar. Esoteric location but very individual styling and super chic with a delicious breakfast.
“Loved it!”
Superb design hotel. Beautiful rooms. Nice restaurant. Very chic. Highly recommended. The only downside is that it is not central re touristic attractions but it is 5 min walk to a metro station and also within walking distance to Gare du Nord.
“Cool design hotel”
Recent design hotel in a classical building. Very nice & bright rooms. Attentive and friendly staff. Ideal for a weekend/getaway with wife or girlfriend (hotel has a trendy lounge & club area with a real iceblock bar ). Only drawback: far from city center, you'll a car or cab to get there. Enjoyed our stay.
“Odeur de cigarette”
Une odeur de cigarette dans la chambre très désagréable (provenant des aérations de la salle de bain et des toilettes)
“Poor location - save your money and stay in a cheaper more central hotel”
The hotel bar is so expensive we didnt have one drink there. On our first night, we were asked where we thought we were going by the very unfriendly bar manager. Her manner was very off putting for others too obviously as the place was empty every time we walked through it on the way to our room. Nice hotel, bad setting and snooty staff. Definitely not worth the money. Go for a lower star rating in a more central location; all you will find in this area is kebab shops and homeless people.
“Location, Location, Location”
The Cube is a fun hotel, a bit quirky, but that adds to the experiecne in a good way. The staff are wonderful! There is one drawback, the location is iffy. The area appears to be a rundown sort of place. Safety didn't seem to be an issue, but I wasn't out much after dark. Two metro stations are within a five minute walk, check their locations to be sure you'll be ok with the commute to the sites. The taxi ride from CDG was around 45 min.
“good inide, disappointing outside”
not worth that money, mainly due to location. the hotel itself is good, rooms are clean and well designed. but what a disappointment the area is! don't miss real paris with its central districts if you want to enjoy the city.
“Sadly disappointed”
I came to Paris with high expectations of an efficient and well-run hotel. I left Paris very disappointed. It is important to note that this is predominantly a restaurant/bar with a hotel attached, rather than the other way around. I got the distinct impression that the focus of the business is not on the hotel. Although the original design concept of the hotel was exceptional, the decor is now (January 2011) extremely tired, grubby and frankly rather seedy. Clean, straight white lines do not look good when they become chipped, brown lines. The public areas of the hotel are grotty and are used as a dumping-ground for the bar. Although the room itself was clean, the keyless door entry did not work properly, the paint was pealing off in sheets and a number of the lights did not work. The service in the hotel is so appalling as to be virtually non-existant. It should be noted that the hotel is a good 10 minutes' walk from Gare Du Nord when carrying suitcases (and I walk fairly quickly) and the surrounding area is an utterly uninspiring, dog mess-strewn wasteland. On the plus side, the food and service in the restaurant are excellent and in particular the brunch is fantastic. Given my time again, I would stay somewhere else and come to Kube for a drink and dinner, which is what it is good at. I was very disappointed by Kube and would not recommend anyone to go there.
