“Not for us”
We have had 12 hotels since the start of our trip. Several were "Budget". The Ibis was by far the smallest room which needed a bit of work to be done. It was also very noisy with lots of bumping and thumping most of the night. Location was great. Around the corner from the Chateau. Finding a spot on the road to unload was difficult. We went to Versailles to go to the Chateau and Gardens. Did the hotel detract from this? While we were there "No" nothing could. Also the Hotel's payment policy was to charge after the stay and not to prepay. The amount quoted by Expecia and the amount the Hotel charged were quite some way different.

Palace of Versailles, France: The marvel of its age, this splendid chateau was begun in 1668, taking over 20 years to convert a hunting lodge into Europes largest palace. Many of its rooms were stripped during the Revolution and still lie bare, but Versailles grandeur and magnificent formal gardens are unsurpassed.
