“Exactly what we wanted!”
We so enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Touraine Opera. The staff was amazing to us the entire time we were there, even mailing our postcards for us (as we had to leave so early in the morning!) and helping us confirm our plans along the way. Our room was small, but very clean and equipped with a large new bathroom. (large bathroom in a small hotel in Europe is almost unheard of.) We were given a choice of two rooms, one on the street and one in the back, but after examining both rooms, and realizing that we weren't planning on enjoying a view from the room anyways, we took the room in the back and were treated with silence all night long. We did not partake in the continental breakfast as we were more interested in exploring as many goodies along our walks, but it was available, as was internet in the loby and laundry service. The hotel was very easy to find and very near to the Metro, which was great for exploring Paris! I would reccommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay in Paris. I will be happy to return again. In fact, I have already started looking into planning our next trip to Paris and will definately book here again!
“A very good choice for the short-term traveler to Paris”
Everything was as expected at Hotel Touraine Opera - easy to find, close to the subway, only source of noise was traffic on an adjacent street (but otherwise the street of the hotel per se is quite quiet considering the area...). I didn't try the breakfast. There is a small supermarket just across the hotel where u can find water, food, and toiletries, as needed. For a shopping spree, the Galleries Lafayettes super-store is a five-minute walk away. I think it's very good quality for money, though of course the room is small (especially the toilet/WC itself) but that's fine, it's Paris after all. The internet connection costs 7 euros for 24 hours (and its extremely fast). For 25 euros, you can arrange for the hotel shuttle to the airport, make sure to leave 4 hours before the flight [if you travel during the daytime], the guys make a lot of stops, and Paris is a big city... The staff at the reception was polite and courteous, and gave us all the info we ever requested. Overall, my w/e stay of three days was very uneventful, as it should have been. Highly recommended for the short-term traveler to Paris.
“Quaint, and friendly”
Hotel is a little far from the main attractions, but taxis are close by and the reception desk is very helpful!
“Hôtel à deux pas de l'Opéra”
Bon hôtel. Personnel sympa et très serviable. Un bémol pour le prix du petit déjeuner (14€ !) c'est un peu cher compte tenu de ce qui est proposé.
“OK sauf bruit cllm”
La chambre aurait pu être très confortable, sauf que la clim est bruyante et fonctionne toute la nuit....
“Hotel Touraine Opera Paris”
Hotel is good , clean and the people there very friendly . Rooms are very small . Clean and good for somebody who is not interested in the hotel itself ( just for sleeping the night ) . Breakfast is good . Location is fantastic and close to all the main interesting places . Internet service not free . Tv very small with only few channels . Overall a good hotel . I will go back there again .
“Good luck.”
The location of the hotel is very convenient for shoppers, yet the repair and maintenance activities are low quality, for a hotel of this rating.
“Do not request rooms in the back, Exc clean bathrooms 10”
We felt this hotel front desk people were very polite and helpful especially the day staff. The first rm 104 was claustrophobic , in the back. The management knew we had requested to be in the back but the street is very quiet . He moved us to the front of building on the 4 th floor our 3rd nite. We were very, comfortable there. Quite a walk from the center of sights.
“Just survived,,,, and no more!”
We stayed at this hotel for 1 night in August. I was recommended this hotel by a friend, so I was confident I would like it... turns out my friend must have lost her marbles!! All of the taxi drivers and tour buses couldn't find our hotel, it was down some dodgy little one way street. Our hotel room was ok, the sheets were ripped and the bathroom had black hair in the shower and stuck to the tiles on the wall... nice! There was no view, apart from a concrete building site, the aircon didn't work properly, the staff could barely speak a word of english, and one of the male receptionists spent the whole time on msn, facebook and private calls. We waited for 25 mins, while he had an arguement on the phone, before we got our luggage. Survived 1 night, but never again!! Not worth the money!
“certainement pas 3 étoiles!”
les + : gentillesse à l'accueil, arrivée tardive ok, chambre simple avec lit en 140, salle de bain refaite les - : couvre lit sale, taché, couvertures sales (poils), fenêtre derrière la tête de lit donnant sur mur à 3 mètres, literie un peu molle, rapport qualité/prix incorrect
