“Excellent find”
We stayed at the St. Cristophe, sight unseen--following other Expedia reviews. We were very satisfied. Our room was clean and comfortable, although small by US standards (OK with us). The breakfast, included in our special room rate, was very good. The hotel is small, with very friendly staff. It is located on a quiet street, one block to the Rue Monge Metro station (line 7) which is very convenient to museums, including those on the right bank. It also is a 20 minute walk to Notre Dame. My wife and I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there next time we are in Paris.
“Great Paris Hotel”
This hotel was all that I anticipated it would be. Reception was very welcoming and helpful, especially when we were having difficulty getting into our email. The room was a little larger than we had expected as our previous European hotel rooms have been smaller. Had a nice corner room and even though it was rather warm when we arrived, the fan in the - and cross ventilation really made the room comfortable. NIce bathroom with great shower. The breakfast was quite tasty and very ample with a good selection of food. Close to subway and walking distance to major areas. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
“Hotel St Christophe”
The hotel is conveniently located in the Latin Quarter. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and pleasant. The metro is about 50m from the hotel and you can catch a bus anywhere. Everything is within walking distance. There is a great Boulangerie across the road from the hotel. Be quick as they sell out early. The tiny cafe next door has great coffee and serves good beer.
“Very nice Hotel”
This was a very nice hotel close to Notre Dame cathedral. It is just off one of the main streets in Paris so transportation was never a problem for either the Metro or bus. The restaurant served a good contental breakfast with friendly servers. The desk staff were helpful for anything we asked of them. We would recommend this hotel for travelers.
“Friendly,comfortable and convenient”
I stayed 3 nights at St Christophe. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city; you can walk or take a short metro ride to pretty much every site worth visiting. The front desk was very helpful with tips about transportation and very accommodating. The room was smaller than the typical American hotel room, but was very charming and clean. The breakfast was ok; convenient to eat there and run out, but there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and boulangeries around to sample baked goods. Although in the city center, at night it gets quiet and you can get a good night's sleep. My friends stayed at another hotel in Quartier Latin and after visiting me at St Christophe, they told me they would prefer it for their next visit to Paris.
“Very Impressed”
My wife and I had never been to Paris and booked this hotel in the hope that it would be both affordable and close to the sites we wanted to visit. The hotel is in a fantastic location and we ended up coming back to the neighborhood each night for dinner because there are so many great restaurants and bars nearby, especially on Rue Mouffetard. The hotel concierge was extremely nice and helpful, the room was clean but small, and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious for the size of the room. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
“Exceeded our expectations”
Service was great; they gave us a room by 11:00 am, which was wonderful just getting off the overnight flight; very clean and firm, comfortable beds. Helpful staff (spoke excellent English), excellent location near Metro and in interesting area with nice cafes/bars/restaurants within walking distance. Never had the breakfast there, but it smelled good. Our room had cross ventilation and a little refrigerator, which was wonderful. We could pick up wine, cheese, fruit and have picnics--much cheaper than cafes. Good water pressure in shower, never ran out of hot water. Has elevator. No noise from other rooms. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat. Enough storage in the room for our clothes and things--we stayed 8 nights.
“good value”
For a 3 star hotel it is good. Good sleeping, good showering, close to 2 metros, close to restaurants. Reception desk helpful.
“Paris in the Spring”
Three wonderful days in Paris with wall-to-wall sunshine. Hotel everything we expected; clean, good service, friendly and helpfull staff. Excellent security with safe for personal items and ability to store luggage after check-out in a locked baggage room. Good breakfast options in clean and pleasant surroundings. Hotel is easy walk of Luxumberg Gardens (an oasis of calm), Notre Dame and the left bank/Latin Quarter. Had an extremely good meal at Le Navigator in the rue Galande. Best way to explore is by open top bus - the Yellow ones adjacent to Notre Dame - one ticket gives hop-on-hop-off options for four routes and has taped multi lingual comentary. Also pick up Batobus river bus by Notre Dame for excellent round trip with stops at all major attrections.
“Hotel Saint Christophe: don't consider any other hotel”
If you are travelling to Paris and need to be around the 5th or 6th arrondissement, this is the perfect hotel. Excellent Hotel and very decent price. Very clean and in quiet area of the city. Closest metro stops are Place Monge and Cardinal Lemoine. It's next to the Arenes de Lutece and rue Mouffetard; walking distance to the Pantheon and Jardins de Luxembourg. I am definitely staying here next time I'm around Paris.
