“TYpically French”

If you are looking for a typically French hotel that has a lovely ambience in one of the most historic areas of Paris you should stay at Hotel Roma, Very reasonably priced, I stayed here on a recent business trip which was just a 10 minute Metro ride to my office near the Madeleine. I would recommend this hotel.

“Surprising find!”

The location couldn't be beat! The nautical/beach theme of the room/floor was a little strange and child-like, but the room was very, very clean. The bathroom was a nice touch, although the toilet smelled. The room got warm very easily, but opening the windows helped that out. Being near a cafe and a bodega was great for late-night snacking. And being right near the Metro was perfect for excursions throughout the city. Overall, a great place to stay in Paris!

“Good on a budget trip”

Good hotel on a budget trip. A bit old rooms but clean all the time. Great front desk service, they provide a lot of useful info. Really close from metro station and Gare du Nord.

“Nice but small”

The good: The hotel had a great location. The view from the 6th floor window over Paris was wonderful. The room was tiny but nicely decorated. The bad: In order to get the control to turn on the aircondition, they demanded extra money. We opened the window instead but it was very loud. When we tried to get them to call us a shuttle to the airport, we were told the shuttle was full and we had to use a very expensive cab (40 Euro for a 20 minute ride).

“Better than expected”

I was surprised with the standard of this hotel considering some of the reviews that have been written. I was impressed with how clean the room was and the maid service was excellent! The front house service was a bit lacking with some members of staff not very helpful and the "Triple" room we booked was actually a double with an extra "camp" bed, they did offer an extra room on the same floor for our daughter a couple of days after we arrived but we didn't think it was appropriate.

“Book 2 Twins instead of a Double Bed...”

We recently returned from a 6 day visit to Paris with my husband and1.5 yr old son. I had been to this hotel before w/a girlfriend an thought if it were going to be anything like that (2 twins) sign me up! Unfortunately we opted for a 1 double and the room we got was just awful! I'm amazed they got the bed in in the first place! We barely had enough room to walk and my son absolutely HATED it! The worst part was, since we were staying 6 days, they couldn't put us up in another room as we'd just have to move bad on another day (don't really understand but whatever). Otherwise, its a fantastic hotel - just don't stay in the room we did (#302) :) Plus its in a GREAT area - 18th arrondisment. The metro is directly below the hotel (although, it reaks of urine and filth) but the #80 bus is also in front of the hotel and MUCH more scenic! takes you directly to Champs Elysses, St. Lazare and the shops in the 8th district. MUST TRY: there's a bakery at the end of the street...Boulangerie and they have the most spectacular croissants - not the best service but who cares :)

“Good, basic accommodations”

I was prepared for the funky decor of this hotel (cheerful hippie style) from photos on the website. The staff was helpful, and the location is excellent. The room was a bit hot even though the radiator wasn't warm. Noise from the club downstairs on the weekend can be a problem. But overall, a good choice if you're not super fussy and not planning to be in the room much anyway. Ask for a room away from the club side and also not at the foot of the stairs!

“Exactly what I was looking for”

Clean enough and definitely comfortable, the hotel has the basic amenities necessary for a stay in Paris. It's location is excellent, right above a metro station near caffes and grocery stores and within a 10 minute walk of Sacre Coeur. There was free wireless available as well. I recommend it for the person looking for a cheap, safe and well located place to stay who is planning to spend most of their time outside of the hotel sightseeing etc.

“strategic hotel for budget travellers”

A strategic hotel for budget travellers as the location, cleanliness, and friendliness of staff are all above averange. I found this hotel through trip advisor and this is the only 2 star hotel which got all the positive reviews.
