Excellent place to stay to visit Montmatre & Paris
Very nice place to stay in Paris. The Staff are very friendly. Rooms on the 5th floor have marvelous views of the Eifel Tower.

The location and pricing are good but the hotel is very loud. You will hear EVERYTHING from your neighbors. They have an elevator, but it won't help you with large luggage. You still have to go up and down stairs with your luggage. You can find a better hotel in the same area.

Two things to consider: you must leave your room key every time you leave the hotel and walls are paper-thin. Be prepared to hear your neighbours snore or more (if it’s their honeymoon;). Having said that, the location is excellent and price was on the cheap side for Paris standards.

Located beside the Abbesses Metro station, this hotel was perfect for us. The staff were friendly. The bed and pillows were super comfortable and the room was cosy. The room was clean, however I think to get a 5star from me, I would have liked it to have the scent of cleaning products/bleach upon opening the door. We had a kettle, but no tea/coffee/sugar/milk/biscuits. I think this is such a small but useful amenity to have whilst travelling. I recommend bringing foam earplugs for the stay as the walls are thin, we could hear next door's TV and people talking downstairs early in the morning. This didnt bother us as we had earplugs. The bathroom provided a shower/bath with body wash, shampoo, handwash and hand lotion, however we had to buy conditioner. Our hair dryer was also out of order so we couldn't use it for the 3 nights we stayed. It was an easy commute to and from the airport. There were complimentary sweets at the reception desk. Would stay again for sure, but would really appreciate tea and working hair dryer next time!

Good budget stay
Great location, lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Lovely view from the window of the square outside. 24 hour reception, you have to ring a bell if you arrive back to hotel late. Staff are friendly.

We had a lovely room with a stunning view. The hotels decor was a bit tired and it could have done with an exit mould. But the location and outlook was so lovely we didn’t mind the other things.

A charming old room on the top floor with a spectacular view. There is an elevator to the 4th floor and stairs from there to the 5th floor. At night the streets were very quiet and we slept well. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The metro is around the corner and bus and taxi easily accessible. Walking around Montmartre is wonderful and full of excellent places to eat.

Great location but a bit dated
This hotel was in a lovely location surrounded by loads of bars and restaurants. Perfect location situated a 5 minute walk to the foot of the Sacre Coeur. The particular room we were in had no air condition other than a fan which just blew the hot air of the room around so through the night wasn’t very comfortable. Hotel is old fashioned in that for whatever reason you have to hand your room key back to reception every time you leave the hotel and ask for it back on your return which is fine if you are out all day but a little annoying if you keep popping back with shopping etc. The bed in the room was extremely comfy however the pillows were too soft for my liking. Overall the hotel was fine for what we paid however I think could be doing to updated a bit to bring it up to speed with other hotels.

Strange policies and nothing good.
The view was excellent. Other than that, this hotel has nothing positive going for it. The little mini fridge had mold in it. The shower was miniature. Housekeeping serviced my room when I had left the "do not disturb" sign on the door. And they have a very strange policy of requiring you to leave your key at the front desk every time you leave and requesting it back by providing your room number when you return. This did not make me feel comfortable and the answer I received when I asked why was not satisfactory. They claim it is in case you drop your card outside then they won't have to make a new one. Unless all you're looking for is the view, don’t bother. You can get the same views without staying there.

Absolutely fantastic location, steps away from the metro at the base of the Montemartre. Excellent value. Rooms were clean, mostly updated and comfortable. It is a two-star hotel, so you have to keep this in mind when looking at the furnishings and conditions; with that in mind it is an excellent hotel value. At night because of the location, it was noisy. No air conditioning (it was 96F). The hotel staff was nice if not particularly friendly.

it is a nice neighborhood with small streets and lots of lovely coffee shops and restaurants. I like the hills which give you views. The staff were very helpful and our room lovely.

We had an amazing 2 nights here. The view from the room was amazing and the location was perfect for Montmartre and Sacre Coeur. The beds were very comfortable and the room was a good size with clean bathroom. The staff were friendly and it was great to be able to leave our luggage on the last day. We had time for a leisurely breakfast before check-out. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Would not recommend!
I honestly don't understand all the good reviews. The hotel is very tired and outdated. The room and bathroom were not very clean and the bathroom you could barely turn around in. The amenities were not adequate. The first day, we had no shower gel so asked for a top up, when we checked later, although we had shower gel, we suddenly had no hand soap... Overall, would not recommend the hotel. Only positive was the good location.

Property is run down at best. Property needs updating and common areas are dingy. Elevator is TINY and stops between floors so you still have to being bags up one flight of stairs. View is incredible of the Eiffel Tower and the location in montemarte is desirable.

The location is excellent with windows opening to the buskers on the Rue des Abbesses in Montmartre. The stairs and elevator were a bit challenging for an elder. Breakfast was satisfying and reasonably priced.

Location! Location! Location! This is a basic hotel & it needs an update. However, everything else is superb. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The view is priceless! Pay for the view of the Eiffel Tower. It is worth it. Pigalle metro is close to the hotel. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance to the hotel.

Excellent location in Montmartre right next to subway and close to excellent sights and restaurants. Upon arrival, I was met with mediocre service by attendant. Was able to leave suitcases in storage until check-in. NO help in getting suitcases to storage, no help in getting suitcases to room. Room is small but has all the essentials except AC. Hotel is nice but outdated, needs some updates. But the location is hard to beat.

The hotel was in an excellent location however as it didn't have air con it was very hot and stuffy in the room. You couldn't leave the windows open because the noise was very bad. Also there was a fan in the room but again super noisy........ Staff was friendly, we had breakfast twice and I can't fault it. The best part about this hotel was the charming Parisian vibes in the room and the location! This isn’t some sleek, new hotel so just know that going into it. The bed was great, bathroom fairly spacious and clean and even though I didn’t upgrade to a “room with a view” I did get a great view of the square below and church across the street. It’s located in a fantastic part of Montmartre where it’s incredibly walkable to shopping, cafes, bars and a famous patisserie is around the corner. ALSO it’s right next to a metro station which was key to my stay. The staff was friendly and I would def recommend and stay here again! I was a woman traveling solo and felt very safe in the area and at the hotel.

A delightful find in Montmatre.
The hotel was is perfect area of Paris. It was next to the Abbess metro a matter of 1 minute walk. The hotel was a dated yet delightful place. We had paid extra to have a room with a view of either The Eiffel Tower or Sacre Coeur. We choose The Eiffel and each night the lights of it shone to our window and the morning a direct view. The room was small but comfortable, with chairs, fridge and good sized bed. The only dislike was the shower which used a shower curtain. The hotel had a lift only to the 4th floor and we had to walk up some 12 steps to level 5. All still very acceptable for the price. We were also less than 5 minutes from all the highlights of the the area, restuarants, the painters section the funicular. The best position.

Handy Hotel with Great View
After spending 3 nights at the Hotel Regyn with my boyfriend, I would definitely recommend it to a friend. The location and the view from the room were definitely five stars. We had a gorgeous view of the Eiffel Tower, the beautiful Saint Jean church and the busy square area below us. Watching the Eiffel Tower sparkling at night from the comfort and privacy of your own hotel room is a really special experience. The location is right next to a busy street with lots of cafes and restaurants that are open till 2am and the Abesses metro station which has 1 of the only 2 surviving original glass metro signs in Paris. If you’re looking for a really luxurious hotel, this isn’t really it. It is definitely has elements that are a bit run down like selotaped wallpaper in the hallway and walls that you can hear everything through but for me this isn’t much of a problem. Our room was perfectly clean and the bed was actually so comfortable. Only downside is that I would prefer if the rooms has tea/coffee making facilities. I think with a little revamp and better marketing thru could make so much more out of this place. We were looking for a really inexpensive hotel with some perks like a good view and this hotel definitely met our expectations. If you’re not overly worried about details and just a want a cheap, decent and well located hotel in Monmartre you can’t go wrong with The Hotel Regyn.
