“Great Price and location!!”

The Hotel Paris Liege was by no means a 5-star hotel! But it was cheap, clean and very convenient. It was a 2 minute walk from Gare du Nord (perfect for early morning Eurostar trips) and the subway was a few steps away from the front door. The hotel itself was old but clean. The rooms were the same: comfortable, clean beds but wobbly tiles in the bathroom and a wonky shower (LOTS of hot water though!) The front desk clerk was extremely helpful. Perfect for a few cheap nights in Paris!

“Good for a place to sleep”

The rooms are small, which was perfect for me traveling alone. The Gare du Nord was literally down the block, which was convenient for taking the RER to and from the airport. I was able to walk to all the monuments, but they were long walks; it may be a little out of the way for casual sight-seeing as it was slightly inconvenient to go back and take a nap or whatever. Elevator worked fine but was super sketchy. Had minor issues with my key card not working, but staff was helpful and very kind. You don't get a great view of the city from the hotel, but that isn't the purpose of this hotel.

“Convenient Location Paris”

For anyone travelling on Eurostar to Paris, this is a super convenient hotel. Less than 5 mins after your train arrives you can be at your hotel. If you arrive early leave your bags and explore Paris returning when you please. Great location and good value for money. I would recommend this hotel.

“Convenient and comfortable small & basic hotel for short stay”

The hotel was smaller than I expected, but for the area it seems about average for a budget hotel. The room was small, but gave enough space. Thankfully the bed was clean and comfortable, so I have no hesitations in sleeping there again. It is not an issue for a short stay or when you are likely to be out in Paris all day. Those who like to lounge about in the hotel should look for another place. Note that the en-suite was tiny - standing room in front of the sink was fine, but the toilet was almost under the sink! They do provide in the room a plastic cup and some shower gel which was quite appreciated for a 2 star. The receptionist was gracious and was polite with requests. Note that for the budget, you will not be paying for large lobbies or grand entrances - the dining area (for breakfast) was a small corner of the lobby area. The breakfast itself was the typical simple continental, but the coffee was ample. Two minutes away from the Gare du Nord, and a minute away from the nearest metro entrance - this hotel is very convenient for Eurostar passengers. Finally, there was a box of complimentary selection of chocolates in the room for the New Years period, which was a pleasant detail.

“nice hotel for price”

Nice hotel for price. Very handy for station, tour bus etc. Reception staff mainly friendly. Room clean, warm and cosy with opening french windows. Bathroom very good. Breakfast not bad considering that it was included in price. Cleaning carried out in room and staircases etc regularly. Pity lift does not reach floors! Plenty of restaurants, shops etc near. Would definitely go back again to the Liege

“recommend”

Location is the key for my hotel selection. This hotel is just one minutes walk from Gare du Nord. Although internet connection of my PC did not work, the functionality was greatly helpful for travelers. As receptionist said that they could not access to internet, I could not get any help about city, airlines and others from them, which was bit frustrated. Elevator door is located middle of each floor, If you have heavy suitcase, it will be a problem. There is no door in the ground floor, you need to bring up your bags to 0.5 floor. Other than those, my stay in this hotel was great.

“Excellent location for metro and Eurail access. Good management and friendliness”

Previous reviewers had said the hotel was hard to find. Initially this was the case for me as I emerged from the side of the Gare Du Nord rail station. In fact hotel is located just over the road from the front entrance, a little way down a side street. Give its low star rating it was surprisingly comfortable. My room was very quiet (looking out to an internal courtyard, and the provision of free WI Fi was a bonus factor. All duty staff were most welcoming and friendly, without exception. Breakfast was simple continental but provided a good start for the day. Minor drawback was the elevator was situated on a landing some20 steps up from the lobby. General use of stairs ok but difficult with heavy luggage. TV in rooom old fashioned and did not work, but not essential unless confined to room. In summary, good value, good location, well managed and friendly.

“Paris in April”

The hotel is ideally located in the center of Paris. We exited the Paris train station "Gare du Nord" and the hotel was across the street a half block away. The room was small but comfortable enough for two. Even though the room faced the street it was quiet enough with the window closed to not be a factor in sleeping well. The staff was friendly and the front desk spoke english well. We would recommend it and hope to return.
