I really liked the location and the view . The staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs. What I didn't like was the carpet was a little smelly, the beds are a little too firm and the bathroom needs some attention and updating.

The building needs to be updated and refurbished. The staff is difficult to communicate with and there is No air conditioning or ventilation. It was very hot and if the windows were open it was very loud

This hotel is located in a very convenient area to the metro and food options. The issue with it is that ot has a small elevator that fita a maximum of two people and it could also use a new carpet since the one it has has a funky smell.

The hotel itself is ok, even though pricey for the accommodation. Parking is in the street, so good luck finding a spot. Breakfast was so so, handled by the poor same guy who is doing the laundry.

Worst experience at Paris Bruxelles hotel.
Terrible experience at this hotel. One of the worst that Paris has to offer. Too high priced, extremely dirty, very small rooms, no ventilation, super small bathrooms, no room cleaning for multiple day stay, just coffee in the name of breakfast, unfriendly staff. Elevator makes so much noise whole night, cannot sleep even if the room is 5 rooms away from the elevator. Everything about this hotel is bad. No parking, no temporary parking. Loading and unloading luggage was a nightmare. Such a bad hotel should not be on the hotels.Com website. We end up believing the hotels.Com website, when they say bfast available. But this was a terrible experience. Nobody should stay at this hotel.

This hotel not only was not portrayed as it was in the listing, but it was significantly unsafe and unsanitary. I will submit photographs as proof that the fact that there was black mold on the walls in the bathroom and unknown liquid stains on the walls were beyond upsetting. I brought it to the tension at the front desk, and either they did not understand English or they wrote us off.

Would stay again.
Nice staff at the hotel. Accomodating for all needs. Hotel is very old style but adds to the experience of being in Paris. Bed was comfy. Heating only appeared to work in the bathroom and not the room but did not cause any problems. Very easy access to bakeries, bars and restaurants aswell as the metro to the rest of Paris.

Quirky and convenient
Very convenient location, easy walking distance of republique metro Even with luggage. I was a bit dismayed by outside of hotel it's in an older building but ultimately that's part of it's charm. My party had two rooms and both were very clean, the beds were extremely comfortable. Both faced the inner courtyard and as such were very quiet. Rooms were quite warm but a fan was provided. Staff were pleasant and helpful. To sum up it's a clean, comfortable,friendly property in a good location. Yes it's an old building, it has odd angles, a small lift that works well but might alarm the nervous. Rates are reasonable and I would be happy to stay again. If you want chrome/glass modern style then it's not for you.

Very clean and spacious
The room for three was very big, with four single beds ( nice surprise), lots of room for three people and a lovely view. Check in and check out we’re easy. It was nice to be able to leave our luggage during the day after check out as we had a late afternoon train.

Decent value for money
Rooms were basic but clean. Great location - very close to Place Republique from where you have easy access to anywhere in Paris. My room was quite noisy. I think it may have been next to a kitchen, but otherwise decent value for money given the price of neighbouring properties.

The hotels it’s in a excellent location with Metro Station and near restaurants. The staff was very kindly and multilingual. The room it’s small but comfortable, the bathroom need more cleanup specify the bath (the impression it’s awful with the bath). In general the stay was good.

It is very difficult to get a nice hotel in Paris without paying a fortune. The Hotel Paris-Bruxelles is clean and functional. The room decor was a little tired, although the bathroom seemed recently renovated. The wifi was fast. My view was of a lightless light well between buildings where people had dropped hundreds of cigarette butts after smoking. The bed was comfortable. There is no room safe. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was basic continental and adequate. The location was convenient (a couple of stops from Gare du Nord and Gare de L'est and walkable to the Marais, for example). But you would not want to spend more time in the room than strictly necessary.

Very modernized hotel. What I like best during our stay here is they provide sockets by the bed where you can charge your gadgets. Near the metro so transportation isn’t a problem.

The staff were terrible. Rooms were dirty, towels looked like they were about 10 years old and hadn't been replaced. wifi was primitive and never worked. basics weren't available - lift tiny and old, no fridge in room, room was stinking hot at night. took about 5 tries to get an iron and ironing board which turned out to be the crappiest metal ironing board. staff were rude and unhelpful. definitely do not stay. moved to another hotel which is 3 stars and it's a world apart.

Perfectly fine for a place to lay your head.
The stay was what I expected as I've stayed here before. They've made some face-lift updates to the rooms to bring them to the 21st century. As it is a budget hotel, don't expect too much, and like most Paris hotels, it is very small. The only thing I didn't love was that the internal lock on the door did not work and there was a lot of painting going on during my stay. The bed isn't the best, but you get what you pay for. Wifi not great in the room and no coffee/tea facilities (would have made it much better).

Good location, great for one night.
I stayed at this hotel for one night as my rental apartment was not ready until a day after I arrived. Perfect for a short stay. Good area (La Republique) and standard amenities. However there was a lot of construction in the hallways which seemed odd considering it is the busiest time of the year.

Great spot!
This place was a great location, right across from the metro. Easy access to the whole city! The room was smaller, but that’s European rooms for you. It had everything I needed and was clean. Would definitely stay again!

Overall good for the price.
After reading some reviews was tempted to book a hotel along the road, but we were arriving in Paris to surprise a friend who was booked in here for a big birthday, so as it was only one night we thought we should be together. The en suite, although not spacious had obviously been recently renovated and the shower was great. The bed was very comfortable, I prefer a firmer mattress. If you want a twin room, contact the hotel first, they only have two, and any mobility problems, request not to be put on the 5th floor as lift only goes up to the 4th. Hotel is situated just off the Place de la Republique, meters from a metro station, surrounded by plenty of bars restaurants and shops. Over for the price, a little gem really. Oh, there's a patisserie across the road for morning coffee and croissants.

I would not recommend to anyone.
I have stayed here twice and the hotel has gone down hill. The rooms are noisy. You can here the lift moving through the walls, the bathrooms are tiny with inaccessible toilets or showers dependant on the room even for small people. Lack of air conditioning in the summer with hot rooms. The front desk is meant to be manned 24hrs a day and you have to hand you room key in when you exit the hotel each day however you have to wait around to collect your key when you return as there is no guarantee there will be someone at the front desk. The rooms are clean and the beds are made each day if you put the sign on the door. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you need sleep to function. The breakfast is overpriced compared with those offered in the cafes near by, it's worth going 5-10mins walk away from the hotel to get better quality food for better value.

Neighborhood was great, but hotel should be 0 star (listed 2*). Tiny room, dirty....everything was under expectation! Will be ok for young guy or student visiting Paris but not for couples or families.

BED BUGS!Absolutely unacceptable! The worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my entire life. Even worse than the bedbugs that woke us up at 3 am, was the staff. Most of all the supposed supervisor that treated us terribly. Disappointment and a sleepless night force me to dis-sway anyone from choosing this hotel if they appreciate sound sleep, cleanliness and being treated kindly as a requisite for hospitality.

Very central location but comes with bed bugs!
Pros:Great location, pleasant staff. Cons: uncomfortable bed, no fan or air on - 31degrees whilst there and hardly slept on one of the nights due to the heat!! Aircon is needed.. Smallest bathroom ever, could only open 1 shower door at the other was obstructed by the sink. The 'do not disturb' sign was ignored. One of the windows didn't close. Lipstick on the pillow case And 90% sure there were bed bugs.. My husband and I both woke up with bites and upon returning home a few more have turned up!!
