“Great Location”

Easy to get to from the airport. The train stop across the street from the hotel. Many points of interest are within walking distance.

“Perfect Location/Perfect Staff”

We stayed at the Hotel Observatorie Luxemburg for 7 nights, starting July 28, 2010. We were impressed with the hotel and their wonderful staff. when we checked in they said since we were staying 7 nights they were upgrading us to a deluxe room, and the room was very nice. Any time you had a question the staff went out of their way to help you. The location was great. The RER train from CDG airport stops at Luxemburg, which is in front of the hotel, this was very convienent not having to change trains with baggage. The hotel is in the Latin Quarter on St. Michel. You can catch the 38 bus in front of the hotel and go down to Saint Germain/St. Michel area for all sorts of fun, there you are right accross the river from Notre Dame Cathedral, truly the location is close to everything. We would stay there again.

“Very good 3 star in an excellent location”

A little gem of a small hotel in the tree lined Boulevard Saint Michel. A few steps away from the Jardin de Luxembourg and an RER/Metro station. The hotel has its own brasserie 'Le Luco' which was good but walk up the next street past the Abbey de L'Apee and find numerous bars and restaurants in the Pantheon district. The Beouf Bourgignon at the Port Salut is 'to die for'. The hotel is small and friendly, very clean and the king size beds are very comfortable. The bath/shower combo's are excellent and although on the small size the rooms are well appointed. Desk staff were very helpful and gave us much good advice on what trains to get and where to get off etc.

“Exellent hotel in great location”

Hotel in great location about 100yds from RER station which connects direct to airport. Hotel opposite Luxembourg gardens 200 yds from Place Sorbonne with nice cafes for breakfast. 10 minute walk into real left bank area of cafes and bars, 15 minutes to Notre Dame, 20 minutes to Louvre etc etc. Hotel VERY quiet. Staff really helpful and lovely clean room with all facilities including air con although we did not need this in February.

“Great hotel with lots of character”

Great little hotel. It was very romantic and convenient to most things in the Latin Quarter. Had a room just across from the RER and had no problems with noise and had the windows open whenever we were in the room. Thought it was a great value for the price. Their buffet breakfast was worth the money if you want a full, large breakfast.

“Very satisfied!”

We were pleasantly surprised by the standard of this 3* hotel. The recent refurbishment meant that virtually everything had been re-equpped and newly decorated. Our room (superior)was a decent size, there was a fridge, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The en-suite shower/toilet was always fresh and towels changed daily. The bed was very comfortable and because we were at the back of the hotel there was no traffic noise at all; our room was also very welll sound-proofed. During our 5-night stay we had contact mainly with reception staff Valentin and Mustafa who were very pleasant and extremely helpful, indeed all the staff had a positive and helpful attitude. The only minus was lack of drawers in the room, but that did not affect the enjoyment of our stay. A big plus was the location - just a few metres away from a Metro station on a direct line (RER B) to both Charles De Gaulle and Orly airports and within walking distance of Notre Dame and right opposite the lovely Luxembourg gardens. We would definitely return to L'Observatoire on future visits to Paris.

“Good hotel, good location”

This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel and both times we've enjoyed our visit. Room sizes aren't huge but you don't visit Paris to stay in your hotel room. If you like walking, try to walk around Paris instead of using public transport as you get to see more of the city and can take diversions up all the interesting side streets.

“staff made a superior experience”

The location was excellent for my needs. The hotel room was quite small but comfortable - the bedding was awesome - pillows, sheet, comforter soft and fluffy. The hotel staff was friendly and so helpful that I felt very welcome. The glass shield on the bathtub/shower was awkward - I couldn't help but splash water on the floor.
