Fabulous! Unexpensive, and great service. Everything was great for the price. The location is convenient, really close to a Metro station. Overall, very nice.

“If possible, don't go there”

When I arrived the room I have previously booked (with private shower and private toilet) was already booked to other people. I had t stay in a more expensive room and pay the difference if I wanted to stay in a room with private bathroom. Besides that, the elevator was broken and I had to go upstairs 6 floors, with my bags, which was very tiring. The internet doesn't work at all.

“Hôtel Moderne : A EVITER”

L'Hôtel "Moderne" n'est en réalité qu'un vieux bâtiment servant d'hôtel situé dans un quartier peu recommandable!!! Il comporte 6 étages sans ascenseur. Il est totalement sale et délabré. L'accueil est totalement médiocre. Certaines chambres n'ont pas de wc ni de salle de bains. La literie est catastrophique. Je ne parle même pas de la tuyauterie. Aucun petit déjeuner n'est servi. L'isolation phonique est inexistante. Bref un hôtel médiocre pour un prix exhorbitant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Le seul point positif l'emplacement de l'hôtel. EXPEDIA devrait supprimer cet hôtel de son site.

“Absolute disaster”

This hotel is everything bad about booking online. The clerk at check-in was very unhelpful when we arrived at 11 PM after hours on a train. We we booked as 3 people (3 twin beds suppossedly). He handed us a key and mumbled directions to the room. The room was very shabby and had only one full size bed in it (which sagged about 6 inches in the middle. When I asked the clerk about the other bed, I was informed that that was what the mattress we had passed leaning against the wall in the hall was for. When I came back and asked for sheets and blankets for it, he appeared aggrevated and put out. He finally rummaged around and found a sheet and blanket. We were never able to get a pillow or even towels for our room. His responce to that was "I just work here at night, I don't know where anything is" The curtains were to small for the windows, so since the blinds were broken, we were able to look out at the lovely alley all night long. The bathtub had a shower head, but no curtain, so that made taking a shower an interesting event. About the only nice thing I can say is that the linens were clean. I am sorry, but for what you pay to stay here, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone at all.

“more backpacker standard than hotel”

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful but that is the best that can be said for the hotel. The place has been fumigated and so thankfully no bed bugs as previously reviewed. The lift is broken and there are no plans to repair it. We were on the 5th floor in tiny rooms with small beds - not double bed size. Shared bathroom facilities were down the passage. We were moved to a slightly larger room on the third floor but the other couple remained on the fifth floor. People coming in late at night made a lot of noise going up the stairs. The internet facility was only available downstairs in reception. The hotel needs a substantial amount of general maintenance. The linen was clean but everything is grubby. We would definitely not recommend this place for comfort. Very close to the Metro and so convenient for getting around.

“Do NOT Go to this Hotel”

Hotel is in a bad neighborhood. Sharing of the toilet is not my stile (I left choosing those hotels at the age of 25). A terrible fight broke up at my last night and I was scared to look out of the window. Glasses were broken, police came after everyhing was over:). The showers is in the room but it is literally in the room. It is a portable shower. No shampoo, the towels are very small. Room is warm but the carpet looks very dirty. The maintenance of the room is very poor.

Comment peut-on à Paris fournir des chambres 5ème étage sans ascenceur, douche et toilettes .... à l'étage, bloquées la deuxième nuit et tout ça pour un tarif largement prohibitif? C'est simplement un scandale.

“not impressed”

I wasnt expecting much for the price I paid, but what I we got was even worsethan expected, there were cracks all over the room in the walls, and the cudboard was falling apart. There was only 1 towel available for the whole trip and when asked if I could have another one his only suggestion was a bed sheet. Looking at the photo's on the website is makes out the hotel to be far better than it actually is, and does not reflect the size of some of the rooms in the hotel, it is more like a cheap and tacky B and B!
