“Great Choice”

Very nice little hotel in a great location at a good price. Stayed in a "Deluxe" Room that could compete with larger luxury hotels, although this is definitely more of a "boutique". Very close to Metro, Louvre, D'Orsay. Arch and tower are walkable if you don't wish to take the Metro. Plenty of Cafe's within a a block or two (with one of them immediately adjacent). Room was quiet and air conditioned. This was our second time in Paris and this hotel was a winner.

“Great hotel in a perfect location”

We spent 5 days at this hotel and found it to be a great hotel in a perfect location. It was a short walk to all major attractions allowing us to return for a rest if needed during the day. The rooms were nicely furnished. The bathroom was huge even for American standards. Big tub to stretch out in with really hot water. The staff was very friendly and spoke excellent English. Their recommendations for dinner were excellent.

“Awesome hotel - we will be back”

We stayed at the Hotel Mayfair for a week in May and it was excellent. The staff were very friendly and spoke English fluently. The room was great. Location is on a side street off of the Tuileries so you couldn't really hear the traffic from Rue de Rivoli which runs parallel to the Tuileries. Place de la Concorde and the Louvre are a couple of blocks away and their respective Metro entries are also close. We looked into breakfast at the hotel and it was not bad for the money. I know others have said it was spendy but based on what we found in the area it was appropriate. We chose to eat at a cafe on the corner which had great omlettes. When we go back to Paris we will definately stay at this hotel again. Great staff, awesome location with close proximity to the Metro at a reasonable price. You definately cannot go wrong with this place.

“Excellent choice”

Wonderful hotel. Perfect mix of French decor (toile, high ceilings,French doors/windows to balcony overlooking the Tuilleries) with modern amenities( all marble bathroom and flat screen). We had a deluxe room and it was lovely. Right off Rue de Rivoli near many pricier hotels. Great location ; many cafes, 8 min. to Louvre, 2 min. to Concorde, 5 min. to Madeleine. We were very pleased.

“Hidden Gem”

A great hotel with a great location. A few blocks from the Louvre and a leisurely walk to the Eiffel Tower, Champs-Elysees and Notre Dame. The hotel staff was very helpful, friendly and spoke very good English. They were very accommodating and were able obtain reservations to a great romantic restaurant for us on short notice. Our room was spacious even by American standards, clean and very comfortable. I would definitely stay at the Mayfair again.

“Well located and charming”

I stayed in the Hotel Mayfair in early July 2008. Paris was in a heat wave and also amid rain storms. The central location of this hotel to museums, restaurants and the Metro made it an ideal location for touring. We are veteran Parisian travelers and have stayed in many different hotels and arrondisements. The hotel room was very comfortably large by European Standards, very well kept, with very nice people at the front desk. Our rate did not include breakfast, which was just as well as we tended to get breakfast on the fly. Angelina's, a favorite, is 2 blocks away and we found ourselves there for breakfast, lunch and afternoon chocolate chaud. The hotel had a very nice bar which we did not use. Restaurants abound on the small cross street next to our hotel (which is 1/2 block from Rue de Rivoli). The hotel and location were very quiet and the room balconies added a charm to the elegance of the room and building. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

“Will stay again”

Room was very nice and hotel staff was more than gracious. Within walking distance to sights. Nice cafe on corner. Great place, would stay again. Hotel offers breakfast, however we wanted the "Paris Experience" so we ate at various cafes, which did save us money.

“Wonderful spot - would definitely recommend!”

This hotel is wonderful. The rooms are perfect -- we were four women traveling together -- we had two rooms with two twin beds in each and were completely comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location is wondeful - right across the Rue de Rivoli from the Louvre and an easy stroll through the Tulleries to the Musee D'Orsay and the RER to Versailles. We walked everywhere from here. All agreed we would stay there again! Go to the coffee shop on the corner and enjoy the DOUBLE CAFE LATTE in the morning and a cheese plate with wine in the evening! Wonderful staff.

“Excellent location”

The hotel is located in an excellent area for sight-seeing in Paris, with very close by metro stops. The hotel itself was very nice for my five-night stay, and I would definitely stay there again. My only complaint would be that my room was right next to the elevator so it was a bit noisy sometimes, but the area that the hotel itself is located in, is not a noisy area. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with, even helping me arrange getting back to the airport when my original plans fell through. You have to leave your room key with the front desk every time you go out (which seemed a little weird to me) but it wasn't an inconvenience. Overall, a great experience.
