“Great visit to Paris and Bruges”

Lovely little hotel absolutely close to everything. Short walk to the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, Champs Elysee, the Seine, the Metro and Starbucks. Good little cafe on the corner for breakfast and dinner. Great restaurants all around. Spent two weeks there. Very clean. Small rooms but very classy. Only 6 floors and 9 rooms to floor. No view out window but that's okay. Room service and staff were terrific. Everyone spoke english. Very welcoming and accomodating. I would definately stay there again. Take the one day bus tour to Bruges, Belgium - amazing beautiful old city well worth a visit. Versailles was crazy busy - Giverny was lovely. Bastille Day parade and fireworks were amazing - huge crowds -start early. Same for Tour de France finish. SM

“Great hotel! Great location!”

Stayed here in November 2009 for 6 nights. The hotel was great! The staff were incredibly helpful and all spoke English. We ended up getting a room upgrade and our room was the perfect size. The bathroom and room were kept immaculately clean. We never ate in the restaurant, but with so many little cafe's and patisseries along the Rue du Rivoli and surrounding areas you can get great food for relatively cheap from just about anywhere. Location in central Paris is fantastic and within walking distance to all major attractions (except maybe the Eiffel Tower which is still very accessible by Metro). The only drawback is that the hotel faced the loading dock area for another hotel and you could sometimes hear the garbage trucks early in the morning. Other than, I would recommend this hotel.

“location! Location! Location!”

This was my eight trip to Paris, so I knew what to expect in many areas...but the hotel was an unexpected delight. Although the room was small and the closet VERY small....the staff were extremely cordial and the decor lovely...including a pretty sitting room off the lobby to sit and read the local papers delivered daily downstairs. The perfect location!....the only thing is...don't recommend Paris Shuttle...although the pick up was ok ( although we had to run around to find where they were..difficult!)...on leaving Paris they were over an hour late and we barely got to the airport and were the last ones on the plane...never again! But back to the hotel...it was lovely, clean, quiet and I will go there again and again.

“perfect location, lovely staff”

We found this to be an excellent location from which to explore Paris - we could walk anywhere - L'ouvre, Musee D'Orsay, Place de la Concorde, even Arc de Triomphe and L'ile du cite. The staff was very helpful and willing to help. One evening when we came back with take-out they very willingly and promptly re-heated our food and brought it to our room. Absolutely no complaints.

“A good hotel”

Staff were excellent, very helpful and polite. The room was quite comfortable and clean. The only issue was that there seemed to be no way to control the temperature of the heat/ac units but wasn't bad enough to be unbearable. Best part of the hotel is location. Easy walking distance to most of the sites and a metro stop (Concorde) around the corner. The hotel is going through renovations and should be completed by Feb 09 from what I was told. Most of the noiser part of the work should be completed by now. If I get back to Paris, I'd stay here again!

“Excellent location”

The hotel is located in an excellent area for sight-seeing in Paris, with very close by metro stops. The hotel itself was very nice for my five-night stay, and I would definitely stay there again. My only complaint would be that my room was right next to the elevator so it was a bit noisy sometimes, but the area that the hotel itself is located in, is not a noisy area. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with, even helping me arrange getting back to the airport when my original plans fell through. You have to leave your room key with the front desk every time you go out (which seemed a little weird to me) but it wasn't an inconvenience. Overall, a great experience.

“Charming,small and a great location”

The Mayfair was a delightful Parisian experience. We wanted a small, beautiful hotel that had French decor and easy access to major sights like the Louvre, as well as great restaurants. This hotel provided all that and more. While our room was very small by North American standards, it provided all we needed during our stay. The bathroom was bright, clean and modern with a nice window for fresh air.Our view, however, was less then stellar, facing a narrow courtyard and other buildings. That was a very small disappointment. The staff was very helpful and friendly and spoke English. During our ten day stay we often had questions regarding sights, metro, restaurant reservations and shopping. We were always treated very kindly. We highly recommend this hotel and definetly plan to go back.
