Pleasant central-ish hotel

Posted 31-Oct-2014
Pros: Clean, good beds and showers!
Location: Expensive local restaurants.Good location for Louvre and Musee d'Orsay. Metro (Madeleine, exit #5) right outside the hotel.
Madeleine is within walking distance of the Louvre and Musee d'Orsay. It's a lovely hotel and we've got no complaints at all. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The restaurants in the area are a bit pricey and it might be worth heading east for more choice (and, as ever, being a vegetarian in Paris is hard work!). Cafe Madeleine, right next door, was the exception - we ate too many omelettes and drank too much coffee...

Great location, great staff

Posted 21-Oct-2014
Friendly, accommodating staff. Centrally located hotel close to Metro stops. Room was on the small side (relative to North American hotels), and air conditioning had been turned off for the season. Despite this, overall experience was very good.

Good central location

Posted 6-Oct-2014
I had to be in Paris for an emergency so hard to comment for the regular tourist. However I found the hotel comfortable and centrally located. There are lots of restaurants in the close vicinity. The area seems fairly highly priced but safe and pleasant.

Nice but not 4 stars

Posted 26-Sep-2014
Pros: The location.
Location: The Madelein neighborhood is right in the middle of everything that is wonderful on the right bank of Paris.
The location of the hotel is very good, and the staff is helpful, but this is not a 4 star hotel. There is no sitting area in the lobby to speak of. Our room was so small that it did not have room for a chest of drawers, and as a result we could not unpack but lived out of our suitcases. Since we stayed for 10 days, this mattered. The towels were very thin. The young man who cleaned our room was wonderful, however, and the cleanliness was excellent.

Great central location for the city of Paris.

Posted 9-Sep-2014
Pros: Convenient and clean. Very quiet.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: Metro right outside the door. Opera house within walking distance. I walked to the Louvre and the Marais area. Very close to the Seine.
Everyone was very accommodating. The room was always clean and daily towel service never a problem. The room was a bit small but plenty of closet space. The location was so convenient to so many areas of the city. Would stay there again.

Nice...close to all.

Posted 16-Aug-2014
Pros: Close to everything.
Cons: Rooms were small. Would be nice if they were bigger.
Location: Maxim's is only a few blocks away. Starbucks is two blocks away. Champs Elysee is only 4 blocks away.
Great location. Close to everything. Restaurant right next door was good and waiters were very friendly. Metro right around the corner. High end stores just three blocks away. I'd stay there again.

Tiny Room in Central Location

Posted 9-Aug-2014 on Hotels.com
Our room was tiny, with no place to stow our luggage, right above the street which is very noisy and busy, especially in the morning and around 5 p.m. The hotel provided two robes, a luxury compared to the thinness of the towels, but the robes disappeared by day two. Breakfast was satisfactory if unremarkable; the breakfast room itself small and austere. The front desk was helpful in modifying restaurant reservations, but the staff has no idea what a "do not disturb" sign means. Location was centrally located between Eiffel Tower and Louvre.

Great location!

Posted 7-Aug-2014
Great little hotel in an excellent location. Easy walk from the metro and in a quiet and polished neighborhood. Most sights are within walking distance. Room was a little small, difficult to manage two suitcases. Toiletries need an improvement, very minimal. Hotel needs a revamp, a little run down. Breakfast not worth buying if it's not included in your rate. Go out to a cafe or a 'Paul' for excellent and well priced food! Staff were always very friendly and helpful.
