“Excellent economical choice in Paris”

This hotel is quiet, clean, and is staffed by very friendly and helpful personnel. It is near the Gare de Lyon station, making all sorts of transportation convenient. Everything was positive for us, and we would definitely choose this hotel again.

Très bien situé juste en face de la gare de Lyon et du métro, hotel simple, bien entretenu, fonctionnel, personnel d'une gentillesse exemplaire, idéal pour le départ des visites à Paris. A pied sans fatiguer vers la place de la Bastille, la place des Vosges, le Marais, l'hotel de ville, près du canal St Martin.

“Great location and helpful friendly staff”

Our first impression of the hotel was a little mixed, since we booked a room with a double bed but they only had a room with two twin beds available. We looked at the smoking room with a double, but it smelled of smoke and the room looked a little older and more run down than the first one. Apart from that, the room was nice and the bathroom was exceptional! it had been renovated and was brand new, very clean, and roomy. I was very happy with the size of the room since many Paris hotels try to squeeze you into a closet. We had free wifi, which had its moments of failure, but overall was pretty reliable. The hotel staff were VERY friendly and helpful and even mailed our postcards for us. The location of this hotel is absolutely outstanding, and that alone is worth going back for. We were able to get to everything so easily and there is an exceptional bakery right on the corner that is a perfect stop for breakfast on your way to the Metro station. The neighborhood is full of great cafes and restaurants and I would not hesitate to come back and stay here again!!

j'ai eu l'occasion de séjourner dans cet hôtel il y a un an et demi..Nous avons à nouveau été très satisfaits de notre séjour, chambre coquette..wi fi gratuit, petits déjeuners de bonne facture , entretien de la chambre au quotidien..disponibilité agréable du personnel..ma seule note "4"..cette fois ci nous avions vue sur une cour intérieure donc moins agréable mais pas rédhibitoire du tout ..

“Friendly staff, good location”

I had a pleasant experience at the Hotel Lyon Bastille and would definitely stay there again. It is conveniently located two blocks from the Gare de Lyon, which allows easy access to transportation throughout the city. Every front desk staff member was friendly and very helpful, and they all spoke very good English. I had a problem accessing the wifi in my room, and when I brought this to their attention, the staff were diligent in resolving the issue. The wifi in the lobby was working fine, however, so it was not really an issue. There are no shower curtains in the bathrooms, however, so it's easy to make a mess when taking a shower.

This hotel was in a great location to jump on the subway to get wherever you need to go. The staff was awesome and it had a/c which was crucial!

“A Great Place to Stay”

The hotel was conveniently located in a French neighborhood with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. There were ATM machines within a short distance from the hotel. The train station and Metro were minutes away on foot. The hotel staff was more than helpful in English. I think it was a great place to stay for a good price.

“Exactly What I Was Hoping For”

The hotel is exactly what I was expecting...a charming, 3 star hotel with patient/helpful/friendly staff and a very convenient location. We took the Air France Shuttle to Gare de Lyon and were at the hotel less than 3 minutes after stepping off the bus. That's incredibly convenient when having to carry a weeks worth of luggage around with you. The room was small but as we expected - we weren't looking opulent, just something safe, clean and in a good location. We had metro passes for the duration of our stay, so we used the station at Gare de Lyon frequently. One bit of advice - the elevator is quite small...with two suitcases, only one other adult fits inside - prepare to walk the steps or be patient waiting. Many hotels don't even have them, from what I understand, so it isn't worth complaining about.
