“Luxembourg Parc "gets" what it means to be in the hospitality industry”
While I normally go for more "design"-focused hotels (my personal interior design/architecture esthetic leans to the hyper-modern), I decided on the Luxembourg Parc for a change of pace. Now I'm glad I did. The design here, while classically French, isn't over-the-top frou-frou, and mercifully not "quaint." Just very, very attractive in its chosen idiom. The only quibble I have is that the soundproofing of the windows isn't quite as effective as I've experienced elsewhere; it's still decent, but not quite perfect. Really, a very, very minor criticism. The best part about the place, however, is the staff: in terms of attitude, they're among the most guest-centric I've encountered anywhere. Every interaction I had with them suggested that my comfort came first, not what mght be easist or most convenient for them. And another thing: at other Paris hotels of late I've been bedeviled by taxis booked the night before not showing up to take me to the airport (an extra bit of stress I don't need); however, the Luxembourg Parc had no trouble at all ensuring that my taxi arrived on time and was waiting for me when I checked out. Bravo to all at the Luxembourg Parc!
“A Wonderful Overnight Stay at a Lovely Hotel”
What a lovely hotel for our first night in Paris!!! The hotel is charming and the staff are friendly and very helpful. Our room was beautiful with plenty of space. The bathroom was very nice. The bedding was very comfortable. A safe and quiet location. We felt very welcome. We stayed the one night in Paris and then went to Bayeux Normandy for a couple of days. We couldn't have made a better choice.
“Would Definitely Return”
What a great hotel!! Very attentive, english speaking staff. The room was tastfully decorated, clean, and very up to date. Excellent maid service. We have traveled to a number of countries in Europe over the years, including one other trip- to Paris, and this is probably the best hotel we've stayed at. The location is within walking distance to many of the major attractions and the others are easily reached using the Metro system. One minor point--the rooms facing Rue de Vaugirard do have some traffic noise. We noticed it, but it was not really a problem and it quiets down after 10:00pm or so.
“Great Hotel!”
Excellent hotel. Great area, very nice hotel, much attention to detail and a great breakfast. It was our favorite hotel of our honeymoon in europe.
“Everyone's Dream Hotel in Paris”
We just got back from a stay at the Hotel Luxembourg Parc. The hotel is lovely. We reserved two rooms at two different price levels; both were beautiful, immacuately clean and had wonderful views of the park and surrounding streets. The staff at this hotel is absolutely outstanding. They are intelligent, relaxed and caring. No effort seems to much and they are a joy to work with. The neighborhood is terrific. The hotel is down the street from the French Senate and about three blocks from wonderful shopping and great restaurants. We're returning to Paris this fall and we sure hope Hotel Luxembourg Parc has room for us!
“Highly recommended”
Lovely friendly staff, great location and super restaurant just across the road called La Cuisine de Philippe

“Great Location, some maintenance issues”
We chose the Luxembourg Parc hotel after reading the positive reviews. What attracted us was the location and the attentive staff. Location: The location of this hotel, the surrounding neighborhood, the cleanliness and the comfort are all superior to what you can find elsewhere. As others have mentioned, the bathrooms are large and well appointed, and there is adequate space to spread out in the room itself. Having Luxembourg Gardens across the street was a major plus, as you can get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just relax. There are also supermarkets, metro stops, bakeries and restaurants withing close walking distance. Service: The service from the hotel staff and the maintenance of the hotel were mixed. Most of the front desk staff were polite and helpful. They helped us locate some shops and services that we were having a difficult time with. They also allowed us early check in. The downside was that some of the front desk staff would disappear into a back room to watch television, so we had to hunt them down. Most disappointing was the elevator that worked on and off. While going up and down the very small staircase was not difficult, it was a bother. Most bothering was having to lug 3 very heavy suitcases down the very narrow staircase at 6AM on the day we left. There was no one at the front desk to assist us with this. It is only because of this less responsive staff and broken elevator that I give it a 4.
“Nice hotel and great location but poor front desk service”
We had a very nice room with all the amenities. The problem was the front desk. We got to the hotel late in the day and asked the very young man at the desk to recommend a good non-touristy restaurant. He sent us down the block saying to pick any one and all of these were clearly touristy and not very appealing. The next day we asked a different front desk person to help make dinner reservations for 2 remaining nights, we asked that they be made at 8pm and that one be a nice bistro and the other a restaurant that we had selected. Well he never got back to us to confirm these. When we approached him, it turned out he made one of the reservations for 9:45pm, way too late for us. The other restaurant he selected was a bistro that got rather poor review on trip advisor, so that for both of these nights we were left to fend for ourselves (and did just fine). this poor front desk detracted from an otherwise lovely hotel and we probably would not go back
