“Paris hotel south of the river”

Very nice hotel with good restaurant (booking needed as popular with locals too). Busy bar but with very good service. All staff very pleasant and helpful. Within walking distance of R Seine, Louvre etc in a pleasant area, but not one of the most obviously touristic areas and therefore feels like part of the real Paris. Lots of attractive shops and galleries nearby and organic market on Sunday. Other good restaurants in area.

“High Class in a Great Part of Paris”

This was a great stay for us in a high-class hotel. Cost was pretty high, but worth it. The hotel bar was pretty pricey, even for Paris, so we ate out most of the time. The bathroom was fantastic, but the bedroom was kind of small. The location is great for night life in the Latin quarter or daytime shopping in great local boutiques. Overall, a great stay for us.

“Lutetia was great!”

The Lutetia has a great location to museums, fantastic stores and many restaurants. The hotel itself has a nice lobby and regal lobby bar. I've stayed in hotels throughout Europe for 15 years and Lutetia was fantastic. Old world glamour. The rooms were decent sized and the bathroom was a very good size for Europe (double sinks!) For the price, the room was exactly what you would expect, comfortable beds, good closet/storage space, but not large by American standards...they did the trick but nothing opulent. They had Annick Goutal bath products and, really, the best part of the Lutetia is the location, lobby, and gorgeous exterior. We didn't eat at the hotel but the restaurants looked nice and we had drinks at the piano bar two nights and really enjoyed it. The concierge was very helpful with reservations and taxis (which are hard to get sometimes in Paris).

“Great place to stay in Paris.”

My wife and I stayed 6 nights in London and 2 nights in Paris at the Hotel Lutetia. The stay at the hotel Lutetia was the best of our stays.

“Very good value”

The hotel location was perfect for us - minutes from the St Germain area, Bon Marche etc. Easy bus & metro connections to other parts of the city. There always was a lot going on in the public spaces of the hotel but the room was very comfortable and quiet. The art deco furnishings were a plus. Our requests for service were answered promptly. We look forward to visiting the Lutetia again.

“Wonderful historical hotel”

An extraordinarily good hotel, I would recommend it to anyone. Felt nervous due to recent poor reviews, but was fantastically surprised. The room (superior)was cleaned everyday, new crisp white linen and fluffy towels. No disturbance from neighbours and staff were so helpful and fluent in English it was easy. The food was fantastic in the restaurant in the evening, breakfast expensive but vast and varied so you could fill up and skip lunch. Location was brilliant (next door to underground), loads of cafes and bistros in neighbouring area for breakfasts and dinners outside the hotel. We could not fault it and would go again. Yes there is the odd scuff mark on the stairway walls, of course, lots of bags bash up and down there. But our room was spotless and so was the bathroom. Only complaint was that the hotel was too full for an upgrade to a balcony room. So loads of other people thought it was great too.

“Wish I could have stayed longer”

I stayed at the Lutetia with my two daughters ages 16 and 8 so we had a very large room which rare and unusual in Europe. We had a sitting area with sofa, 2 chairs, coffee table and a desk. Then there was a large area for the bed with plenty of room on each side. We had two windows with balcony that opened onto to main street. There was also a separate space for the closet and luggage storage. The bathroom was very large. Only negative was the bath tub very narrow and instead of shower curtain there is a 1/2 sized glass door. It was difficult to keep from getting water on the floor. The room was very clean, the furniture a little worn looking but clean. I can not tolerate the smell of cigaretts and when I travel in Europe I find the rooms stuffy and smokey but this room had not hint of tobacco. Also, the weather was a cool 65 degrees so we opened the windows to enjoy (something we could never do in south Texas in the summer!). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent in beautiful, quiet area but not secluded. Food at the hotel was pricey and not our favorite. We had breakfast included in our rate and it was a very nice buffet with many options. We hope to return next year.

“Lutetia rules!”

From a very friendly and competent check-in, to a nice, clean, big (for Paris!) room, free wi-fi, a fantastic breakfast buffet, a great arty interior design and a cool last century vibe, I had the perfect stay at the Lutetia at a great rate!
