Excellent hotel with attentive staff
The only significant observation which should perhaps be passed on is that a couple of members of the hotel staff informed us that the hotel is closing in March 2014; we understand that it was recently sold and the new owner plans to convert the hotel into apartments. Also, beware the costly (29 euro) breakfast - but of course one is free to step outside and enjoy a croissant or tartine with a nice cup of coffee in a neithbouring café for less than 50% of that. In summary: grab a room at this wonderful while you still can ....

Excellent Option To Consider!
Read reviews and almost didn't book because of them. But location was great and price reasonable for the area it was in so I took a chance. End result: Hotel Lotti was far better than expected and was very happy with my choice! Staff were nice, courteous and professional. Room was quite large versus what others have said. I booked seven nights so maybe that's why. If it was a one or two night res I may have been stuck in a closet. Moral of the story: Don't believe everything you read on the Internet tubes except maybe for this one time. Good luck ya'll! From your non-French speaking friend Salchazbono.

Love this Hotel!
We enjoyed our stay here very much, the best of our European trip! Excellently situated, staff attentive and speak very good English. Room comfortable, breakfast buffet not bad but very expensive! Love this Hotel!

Staff hardly look you in the eye. Room was so outdated it was no worth laughing at. Bed as hard as a rock. Never, ever, again!

PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
Awful hot cramped attic room in this dated hotel. No air con or flat screen TV. Mr Dunlop ranks as the most ineffective and unhelpful manager we have ever encountered . Stay at the Sofitel which is brilliant! This place does not compare . JUST AWFUL !!

Enjoyable
We stayed here for 6 nights. It was worth every penny. The room was lovely and had that old world feel that we were looking for. The elevators are quite cramped. Roughly the size of a coffin (LOL). We ordered room service one night, that was a little pricey. The location is awesome. Walk to the corner of Rue De Rivoli, and to the right is the Eiffel Tower, to the left is the Louvre Museum. There are many Cafes down Rue De Rivoli as well as plenty of souvenir shops. This location is also perfect if you are shopping for high end designers...Cartier; Channel; Louis Vuitton; etc..

Good location but could use updating
We stayed here 7 years ago and room has not been updated; It could use some paint and patching. However, room size is good and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable w/ natural light. I would not automatically go back to Lotti w/o seeking other hotel options. Location is good but there are a lot of upscale hotels in this area.

Beautiful hotel in a not so quiet location
The hotel is beautiful and clean, the staff friendly and accommodating. I chose to stay in the Place Vendome area because it is close to everything but away from the noise of tourists. Lotti is a big hotel that spans the main road - Castiglione, and the side street - St. Honore. I asked for a room on St. Honore thinking it would be quieter. No way! Unfortunately, there's this big, fancy restaurant called Le Bar a few doors away that turns into an after-hours night club. There's an absolute racket that goes on until 3AM in the morning! No exggeration. And its every night, not just weekends. With the windows clsoed, it was okay up on the 3rd florr. But a few balmy nights I wanted to keep them open - that didn't work. Other than that, the place is great - 1st class.

Second Stay / Last Stay
This was our second stay at the Hotel Lotti. Unfortunately, it will be our last. The room was old and even when it was cleaned, it felt dirty. In the bathroom the paint was peeling off all the wooden surfaces and the shower head/ temperature gauge was a joke. As far as the bed goes, we could have just slept on the floor. We requested an electric teapot ( we had one in the room on our last visit) and was ignored for two days and then when we asked again we were told it was impossible and to order room service. Also, when I asked for some ice, at the bar, I was again told to order room service. For the money we paid, my having to beg for one glass of ice cubes on a nightly basis was unacceptable. There are some very fine people who work at the Lotti, however , there are also a bunch of employees who missed the classes on customer service.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is wonderful. The lobby is beautiful, but the rooms and hall carpet need to be redone. Our air conditioner did not work well, we were always hot.

Great choice for Paris.
Lovely choice for Paris. The Hotel Lotti is sandwiched between much more expensive hotels so you get the luxury without the price. You can have breakfast at Angelina's without staying at the Meurice!

It was a great place to stay, the staff was very helpful and kind, the room was quiet and comfortable, and we had no complaints up until the time we checked out. Only one glitch, we were foolish enough to have a glass of wine in the bar one evening and charged it to our room, never dreaming that it would cost us 80 euros for two small glasses. Guess they pulled one over on us. Haha

Surprise, surprise . . .
. . . another Parisian 2-1/2 star posing as a 4-star. Please turn if squeemish. Upon arrival, our love-stained sheets were promptly replaced by slightly less love-stained sheets. The room, although decently-sized by Parisian standards, is well worn and in desperate need of updating. And that super-small mattress will take you back to your Motel 6 years, when you were young and poor . . . and because that's likely where it was sourced. If you value your back, just don't stay here. An iron? Make that 5 calls and 45 minutes. Really folks, I know this is Paris, but adding a bidet does not a 4-star make. Just another sad hotel resting on its location and little else. We ultimately cancelled and found logding elsewhere.

Excellent service at really nice hotel
We enjoyed this hotel and was surprised at how quiet it was considering it sits on rueCastglion. We had 2 great nights sleep and shared a king I've bed (me and my daughter) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.the room was cool as well on a very hot day, clean and a bar inside the room.

I found our stay quite comfortable. The hotel was very pretty and very clean...one thing that's very important to me. The location was great if you love to shop. I would have preferred to be closer to the Eiffel Tower. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We applied three adults and one child, but there were no spare bed and child bed. Of course there were no amenities but two adults. And the doorman always didn't work and help although we pushed the baby buggy. Unfortunately, we do not recommend this hotel.

Awful place to stay!
I booked the stay with Expedia yet at the reception I was demanded to provide a diferent confirmation number by an extremely rude receptionist who had no regard for someone traveling with a child. He wouldn't provide the room and kept us waiting until he figured out that we had really booked a room. The demeanor of the whole staff was unwelcoming and rude. The hotel is in shambles and not worth the prce that you pay for. The only thing going for this horrible place is the location so if you're on your own without children, I recommend you sleep in a park bench in the area, you'll be more comfortable!

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent as it is central to all the main attractions and within a short walk to two metro stations. The hotel itself is beautiful in an old style European motif. Our room was spacious as was the adjoining bath we actually felt we were in a suite rather than a regular room. The staff was most helpful. Always available for any of our needs. The restaurant was tastefully done. We ate meals here on the terrace which was most comfortable

LOTTI WAS PERFECT !
I just stayed for 1 week with my wife and 3 teenage girls (1st week of July, 2013) in 2 Executive Rooms in the new tower and it was FABULOUS ! If we ever get to go back to Paris, we WILL stay at this hotel again. It is in the best location in Paris, as we could walk to every monument, museum and historic site within no more than 30 minutes (from the Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame, you're right in the middle). It was truly a 5-Star experience! We only rode 1 bus and never had to use the Metro. I had read some reviews that made me think twice about staying here and even considered changing hotels, but I'm glad I didn't. This is a BEAUTIFUL hotel and the staff could not have been any nicer, friendlier or more helpful. Our rooms were very large and extremely well-kept. The bathroom absolutely sparkled and everything in the room was clean, new and wonderful. My wife and 3 girls loved it as well. The breakfast buffet was great and the price was not shocking, as I had read from some others. We ate breakfast at a cafe twice and the price was comparable. If you want McDonald's, then you can get a cheap breakfast, but not at any decent hotel or cafe. Don't be turned off by some of the reviews. They just don't fit this hotel.

Very Nice Hotel in an excellent location!
This hotel is very clean and nice...the location which is right next to other large hotels is right in the middle of everything and super close to the metro. It made travel within the city very accessable. The perfect location for a visit where you want to see all of the sights. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and very nice as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Nice hotel close to Paris attractions.
The bellboy, reception, concierge, room service all were so kind and friendly. The location was perfect. Very close to the parks(Tuileries Garden), museums(Louvre Museum) and the famous shopping street (champs-elysees).

The Hotel Lotti is a nice hotel-the location might be it's best feature. The room did offer an opening window to a step out balcony-which was nice as we hadn't upgraded. The Standard room did not seem small-there was some concern as European hotels have a reputation for that. The concierge was helpful, great recommendations, but not always accurate information. Housekeeping could use some adjusting. 1-we had been traveling prior and even though there's a light and a sign for DND-they knocked every single a.m. by 9! Once even knocking lightly and since my husband was showering I didn't hear it, they just opened the door (that was double locked) and came in. 2-not all that clean when we checked in, the toilet lid and seat-filthy. I had travel wipes and cleaned it myself as it was late. 3-inconsistent with item replacement-sometimes you'd get clean glasses, or not; washcloths or not....Really the biggest gripe we had--housekeeping. The hotel itself was in a great location and rooms were fine, especially as we were there 5 nts.

I was staying for a week long business trip. The hotel has a thin vainer of grandeur. An impressive lobby and reception area is let down by the small, basic and dated rooms. The fixtures and fittings are period in style but in reality are cheap imitations. The hotel's comp toiletries are cheep and don't smell very pleasant. I found the staff to be attentive and polite. The food was over priced and underwhelming. All in all, the Westin is a better hotel if you have a choice.

If you know the area and how other hotels are like, you can not complain. Our room was one of those small numbered rooms (10 - 18?) which I think they differentiate as smoking rooms. The only problem is that they are so small for the price I paid. But again I guess that is because what they are and where they stand. If you want to stay cheap in Paris, not this one. If you want to have at least decent bed and bath, this is it, but still pricey. If you want the luxurus one, our room is not the choice; there should be some other better rooms available or choose different hotel.

My family and I spent 3 lovely nights at the Hotel Lotti. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful room. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Will definitely stay again next time we're in Paris.

Good old-fashioned brass and glass luxury. But let down by 1. A hairdryer that cut out after three minutes use, and no portable one available 2. A man noisily cleaning tables in the courtyard below at 7.00 am on Sat and Sunday morning , waking us up each time with very loud scrapes like finger nails down a blackboard and 3. Charging 5 euros for a tiny bottle of Evian from the mini bar. Superb location , though , and always a cab at the entrance.

Make sure you ask for a refurbished room!
The so-called Deluxe room was only Deluxe in size. It had no character and there was no attention to detail - there were pictures on the wall that were supposed to depict the four seasons, but there was no Autumn and 2 x Summer, as though they just didn't care. TV was anti-diluvian old model. The lighting in the room was poor and worked sporadically and there was no light by the armchairs, making it impossible to sit and read. The water pressure in the shower was inadequate so it took a long time to rinse shampoo and conditioner out of hair and the water temperature control was faulty leaving only two temperatures - too hot or too cold. Had breakfast brought to the room one day and it did not comprise all the items listed as being included. Saw a friend's Standard room which was smaller, but had better wardrobe facilities and better bathroom with separate shower as well as a flat screen TV. Maybe it was one of the refurbished rooms. Location and public areas very good though.

Wonderful location. Excellent service. A very homey feeling. This is not a large hotel but it is in the Vendome area and is walking distance to the Louvre and other sites. It is charming and everyone is very helpful.

A fine hotel
Some may consider the Lotti expensive - our opinion is that one gets what one pays for. The Lotti is an excellent, well-located hotel with a very helpful and professional staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Theft from luggge in room.
When out visiting friends during my last day in Paris my iPhone was stolen from my luggage in my room in this hotel. This caused me a huge amount of inconvenience. I had my passport and valuables locked in the room safe but not my iPhone. I did not put it in the safe because in Ireland where I come from we don't have to lock our phones in safes when we're out. I didn't take the phone with me as the battery had gone down and didn't have time to charge it. I reported the theft to the staff at reception who noted the details and informed me that it would be 'looked into'. The only staff who entered the room during the day were housekeeping. An email subsequently from the Room Division Manager stated that the staff in question were 'long service personnel and had no reason to doubt their word'. I don't beleive in paying alot of my hard earned money to a very expensive hotel for the privilege of being robbed. I won't be back and can't recommend this hotel.
