Stayed here August 4-7, 2011. The service was absolutely fantastic. We arrived from the airport at 9 in the morning and they had a beautiful room ready for us! I could not believe they let us check in that early. It was our anniversary and when we got back to our room late afternoon they had provided a complimentary bottle of champagne, chocolates and rose pedals all over the room and bed! I have never had such great service even from 5 star hotels. The entire staff was very accomodating. Romantic hotel very close to excellent restaurants and shops.
“"Service with a capital S"”
I recently stayed at the Lancaster for six days. I felt attended to in a very personal yet professional way by the staff. The service is first rate, as well as the food in the hotel. In fact, next time I will eat most of my meals there. They upgraded my room and brought to my room a bottle of champagne with wonderful chocolates my first day. The hotel was one of the highlights of my trip.
“Very Impressed”
The Lancaster is in a fantastic location, just off the Champs Elysees- close to the Metro, so very easy to get around Paris. The rooms are very spacious. We were upgraded to a prestige suite, which was beautiful, but it was at the front of the hotel, so it was noisy at night with building work going on across the street. We asked to move rooms and were quickly given a room overlooking the garden at the back. It was perfect. The concierge was fantastic with restaurant recommendations. The desk staff and doormen were all extremely friendly. We were also given a bottle of champagne for our 20th Wedding Anniversary! I can't say enough good things about this hotel. We will definitely be back!!
“highly recommend the Lancaster”
This is a lovely boutique hotel in a great location The hotel was entirely re-done a few years ago, but they did not lose the look and feel of a classic high-end french hotel. For example , the washrooms are completely modern and the rooms have all the amenities. What truly sets this hotel apart is the level of service the entire staff provide. They are extremely accommodating and eager to make you stay a pleasurable experience. In fact, we had an issue with the Expedia reservation> Expedia's room description clearly said the room included a sofa bed (so we could sleep 3 adults). When I inquired about that when we checked in the front desk staff where surprised> It took them all of 5 minutes to decide they would provide us a second room at no charge to honour what was describe in Expedia. Their comments to me where that they need to go back to Expedia and fix the description. We would return to the Lancaster without hesitation.

If you enjoy staying in an authentic atmosphere of a Paris hotel of 1930's recently referbished and restored, with perfectly trained personnel that would assist you in every need and remember your name - Lancaster is the hotel of your choice.
“Superb service and great location”
Hotel was going through major reconstruction of several floors, but despite that fact, staff made our stay true pleasure. Bell boys, receptionist knew us by name, concierge service got us into the one of the places that are otherwise no-chance-to-get-in. Breakfast was also great experience with many interesting people around. Highly recommended!
“Quality problems and some misrepresented services”
The hotel had significant problems such as early morning construction noise, squeeky floors/bed, thin walls, unusable car service, and poor condition walls and furniture. The service was great but at this price range I wouldn't expect the problems listed above. We regretted not spending more and staying at the Ritz instead.
