“Excellent hotel, excellent location”

The Hotel is in an ideal location for visiting Paris. You can practically see the metro station from the front door of the hotel and from there it takes a maximum of 15 minutes to get to anywhere in Paris and is an extremely efficient line. As well as this, the hotel is conveniently opposite a supermarket and bakery as well as a mcDonalds. The hotel itself is comfortable with ensuite bathroom. The rooms are pretty small but if it is for a short break this isnt a problem and the rooms have everything you need and is very quiet. It is possible to wlk to the sacre couer although it is a steep walk and probably takes about 20 - 30 minutes and is much easier to get the metro, especially if you have a Paris visite pass. I would not recommend relying upon the area for somewhere to eat out at night since the area isnt very touristy and perhaps didnt feel as safe as the central tourist areas. There is however a number of places to choose from where you could eat if you wanted too and we found a great take away pizza place a few meters from the hotel which was ideal for when we arrived late. Overall this is a great hotel, a bargain for a hotel that is minutes from all the major attractions and the gorgeous Sacre Coeur. I would definitly come to this hotel again when I next visit Paris, it is convenient and a very reasonable price.

“Paris on a budget - Great hotel for us”

The satisfaction ratings reflect the very small amount of money we paid for our stay. The hotel is situated very close to "Porte de Clignancourt" metro station (line 4) which gives easy access to the rest of Paris, and if you like to walk, the stroll south to Montmartre takes you through a local and uncommercialised area before climbing up to the butte. Probably best to avoid the ground floor room situated by the front door.

“More than adequate”

i stayed 4 nights at this hotel having read the reviews on expedia. I wasn't dissapointed. The hotel was very clean, courteous & helpful English speaking staff. Turn left out of the hotel & in 1 minute you are on the Metro. The are is not brilliant, so don't expect much, but very safe.

“Satisfied again of Sheffield”

Very friendly and co-operative desk staff... very reasonable price (you get more than you pay for) and you are 3 minutes walk from the Metro, excellent suoermarket where they sell real tasting vegetables, and all other items... lots of eating places around. An ideal base from which to visit Paris and return for a decent night's sleep... breakfast (basic) till 9:30. I might grumble about hard pillows, shower stem not functional and TV remote locked fast to the wall behind you so you cannot channel hop, but the cleaning was first class every day and for a 2 star hotel you should not expect perfection... just reasonable comfort, which is what you get! I am sure I will return again.

“Very Impressed!”

The hotel smelt lovely and clean as soon as we walked in. The man that greeted us at the reception was friendly, helpful and spoke good english. Our room had only one other room on that floor which made it feel nice and private. Inside the room was small, but really clean and tidy and well thought out with plenty of space to put cases and clothes. The towels were replaced everyday aswell as the tea/coffee and soaps which pleasantly suprised me. Other traveller reviews mentioned men hanging around by the tube station close-by, this is true and they were a little intimidating but the hotel felt like a world away from it and there was no noise. We didnt have any problems or witness any with these people. Really recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget wanting to see paris.

“Fantastic budget hotel”

Very clean rooms, with English-speaking staff. There are many resturants, cafes, and even a supermarket just on the same street. It's about a 5-10 minute walk from the Sacre Coeur, which we were able to visit every evening just to hang out, and that was probably my favorite experience from my entire trip. Additionally, it's 1 block from one Metro line and about 3 blocks from another, making it super convienent. The only small problem was that our "double" bed was in actually just two twins pushed together, but they were comfortable and we slept well regardless. Yes, the rooms and bathrooms are small. But, I highly reccommend it as a comfortable, cheap hotel in a great location for those who are in Paris to experience Paris and not the ammenities of their resort hotels.

“Very Satisfied”

This hotel was an excellent value for the money. The staff was helpful and friendly, and they all spoke English. The rooms are a bit outdated, but clean and the beds were the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever experienced. Location was OK, because there is a Metro stop up the street and the Paris Metro is great, it goes everywhere! The only complaint I would have is the internet access - no wireless and the one computer they had didn't seem to work very well. Otherwise, I highly recommend this hotel for people who are on a budget in Paris!

“Very good for the price”

Friends stayed here to visit the nearby markets and found it clean, comfortable, and well-located for the market; for the price, an excellent hotel they plan to return to.
