“Good, small hotel, good neighborhood”
I hate staying in giant sterile international hotels -- but I needed to be near the conference I was attending, needed a room big enough to comfortably use a laptop, and of course I need a good internet connection. Harvey Hotel was perfect. The price was right. Internet (a rock-solid and fast WiFi connection) was 15 euros extra for the three-night stay. And walking distance to the front of the Palais de Congress was actually closer than from the conference hotel. (Although, admittedly, the walk from the conference hotel was all indoors.) The place was clean. Noise did carry from room to room. Bath facilities, in-room, were great. Some people will be annoyed by having to carry bags up or down a few steps from the elevator -- common in small European hotels. I had a quick breakfast there the morning of my departure. At 11 euros, it was expensive for what I got -- but I'm allergic to wheat and could not partake of the great rolls.
“Pefect hotel for touring”
Hotel was great. Very efficient. Friendly staff. Rooms clean and comfortable. Quiet. In a perfect location. Close to the Air France bus stop. Close to the Metro - which provided direct access to all main tourist sites without having to change tube lines. Easy access on foot to most of the main tourist sites.
“Excellent Hotel in the centre of Paris”
A superb hotel ideal for business or pleasure. The hotel is very clean and quiet, but only 400m from the Arc De Triomphe. Very friendly and accommodating reception. Good value breakfast. We will be back next year.
“If we ever return to Paris we will stay here again.”
Close to Metro and light rail, End of Champs Elysees, Walking distance to Arc de Triomphe, Staff friendly and helpful, All spoke excellent English and tolerated my bad French with good humor. Hotel does have towels. The Batch does not have a shower curtain, but the shower was good and we never ran out of hot water, which was a problem at the other hotel our group used. Did not try the 11 Euro Breakfast, there is a small convenience cafe in the light rail station which had croisants and sandwiches.
“Simply lovely.”
My family and I have just returned from a lovely few days in Paris. The Harvey Hotel is a small, well maintained very parisian hotel. The staff speak English which with my very basic French was a bonus. Our room was a four bedded room (twin beds and a double sofa bed), adequate bathroom, desk, TV. It was spacious, very clean and had french doors opening onto a small balcony overlooking the street. The area is quiet even though it is only a 10-15 min walk to the Arc De Triomphe, there are several quiet bars and restaurants at one end of the street and at the other end is the Avenue De La Grande Armee which is busier. The nearest metro is Porte Maillot (5 min walk). We didn't make time for breakfast at the hotel and instead called at the boulangerie at the end of the street on our way out for the day. My only critisism if any would be that the room was very warm. The weather was very cold when we were there so was welcoming at first but a little too warm to sleep in and the air conditioning didn't make much difference. Maybe because it was only the end of March. All in all a lovely hotel, would definitley go back.
“So Paris, So Beautifully characteristic! Love It!!”
I hope that should i have the chance to visit again, i would request the same room if possible. I loved the view! Looking down, thinking about where i was and just smiling. It was all so wonderful. The staff were very accomadating with my requests. They were very helpful and went out of their way to find information for me when it was time to go. Free Wi-Fi and TV, beds very comfy, there is no other place i would stay if i was to return. All the Staff seem to take pride in what they are doing and it shows in their approach to you, the customer.
“Can't wait to go back”
Great value for the money and great location, close to all major tourist attractions
“A hidden jewel”
This hotel is small, and hidden on a quite side street 4-5 blocks from the Arc d' Triumph. You can easily walk to the Champs Elysee, and there are 2 Metro stations within a block or two. As everywhere in Europe, beds are smaller than in USA, but our quad room had 4 and still enoughj room to walk around. We also had a small balcony, a micro-fridge, and full bathroom with comfortable tub and handheld shower. The staff at the Harvey Hotel are outstanding. None of the hauty Parisian attitude about English here. They were very knowledgeable about all the sites in Paris and Versaille, and recommended restaurants, shops, and called to make reservations. This is a family owned and run business. We loved it. Restaurants in Paris are VERY expensive. Ffor most meals we bought fresh baked baguettes, cheese, fruit, and wines at the neighborhood shops. We ate like KINGS. We would definitely stay there again. I cannot imagine a better value, and they really made us feel right "at home".
“Very friendly, great location”
The hotel is in a very handy location close to Porte Maillot RER and the Metro, and also close to the Air France airport bus stop. The staff were very friendly. The room was small but very comfortable. The shower was excellent! We were very happy there and would stay again.
“Very Satisfied”
Would definately recommend this hotel. The staff was extemely friendly and helpful in giving directions. It also helped that they spoke English! The hotel is located on a quiet side street and within easy walking distance to the Arch de Triumph. Our room was very comfortable and since this was our first trip to Europe and we'd heard about how small European rooms are compared to here in the U.S. we were pleasantly surprised.
