“Best quality for the price”
I stayed here a week waiting to move into an apartment. You are not going to find anything that is a better value. The rooms are small, as is normal, but they are clean and well kept, the staff is incredibly nice and it is in a great neighborhood just 2 minutes from the metro and across the street from a small supermarket.
“Good for ladies”
This hotel was a pretty and nice location. The room was clean. The breakfast was wonderful. The shower booth was just a little space. So I could not take a shower well. Next time, I would like to stay with tub and shower room.
“Deffenetly will stay again.”
We loved it, 100%. Location, location, location. My husband and I are entertainers on the cruise ship and we were docked in Le Havre, so we had to take a train, it was just a 2 hours ride, then from train station only 15 min walk and we are at the hotel, which is in the great neighborhood, metro station around the corner, super market across the street, fruit and bakery shops close by. Hotel by it self very European, small and charming but very clean and personnel is very friendly and speaks English, which is very helpful. We have been in Paris a lot of times and this is the hotel where we are going to stay again next year. Specially being from US and have been traveling a lot and have been staying in a lot of hotels, we got used to to some certain conditions, and find it in Europe for reasonable price is very difficult, if you want to get what you get in US in Europe, you have to pay a lot of money. So, this hotel was perfect. Can not wait to come back.
“Great stay in Paris”
The France Albion was perfect for a week's stay with my daughter. The room was small, but not tiny, with twin beds, very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and cheerful. The hotel is less than five minutes walk from two metro stations which can get you anywhere in the city in very short order. The neighborhood is fine, and there is both foot and vehicle traffic every night until at least 11 pm, which is when we generally got back to the hotel, so we didn't feel uncomfortable walking from the metro to the hotel. We would definitely stay at the hotel again. The only reason for the "4" on the hotel location is that the hotel is in the Opera district, not terribly close to any attractions but, as I say, it is just a matter of a short walk to the metro and you can get anywhere. However, if you like to walk, as we do, you can walk to Sacre Coeur, to the Louvre or to Notre Dame, all within about a mile and a half.
“Best 2-Star Hotel in Paris: Highly Recommended.”
The best 2-star hotel in Paris. I've stayed in several hotels in Paris, but Albion is by far the best. The room is small (as expected) but clean with relatively recent renovation, functional in terms of TV with good reception, minimal but good shower, hot water and toilet, and comfortable with the heating just right. No noise problem, though facing the street, when the windows are shut tight. Staff was all friendly, attentive, and spoke beautiful English. The breakfast was of good quality in the celler with the right Parisian underground ambience. The elevator worked fine, too. An Internet accessible computer in the lobby (E5.0 for 30min, E7.5 for 60min) was quite handy. I could check the local news from Japan to keep an eye on the development of the earthquake/tsunami disaster that weekend. I recommend Albion to all travelers, and I'll stay there again on my next trip to Paris.
“A Pleasant Stay”
Our room was pleasantly quiet. Breakfast was convenient and good. Staff were all very pleasant.
“Would stay here again!”
This was our first trip to Paris. After reading the reviews on Expedia, we chose Hotel Albion, and were not disappointed. The staff was sooo nice! Most importantly, they spoke English! Also, they were very helpful with recommendations of the best way to get to our destinations and restaurants in the area. The room was small and simple, but clean and comfortable, just what we needed after a long day of sightseeing. There is a grocery store, "Carrefour", across from the hotel to the right. Very convenient for small snacks, fruit, and bottled water! Small cafes, restaurants, and market in the area! Transportation is easily accessible either by metro or bus. Just ask front desk for information on how to get to major sites. After a couple of times on the metro, we got the hang of it! I would definitely stay at this hotel again, it's far enough from all the tourist hype, but close enough to visit all the major sites within a short period of time. Great place to stay!
“Second Stay at France Albion”
This was my second stay at the France AlbionHotel. It is a great little 2 star hotel, that is both well situated and comfortable. Staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful. The air-conditioning works well, which is something a traveler in Paris needs in summertime. Rooms are on the small side, but adequate. It is close to the metro and easy walking distance to the Opera and St. Lazare Train Station. There are many shops in the neighborhood and restaurants. Last time, I stayed there I got the breakfast, which was mediocre. I found that getting breakfast in the neighborhood was convenient and the quality of the food and price was better, than at the hotel. I am looking forward to going back for a third stay at the France Albion Hotel.
“Will definitely stay here again!”
This hotel was a great find! The staff was very nice and helpful and were available at all hours of the day and night. The breakfast buffet was also great; it was nice to be able to wake up and get breakfast without the hassle of going out and trying to find something. This hotel is also really well situated--it's less than two blocks away from a Metro station, making travel within Paris a cinch!
“Lovely Hotel - Friendly Staff”
I was looking for a hotel that was located away from the touristy sites, but was still close enough that I could take the Metro or walk anywhere I wanted to go. This hotel was the one! A 20 minute walk to Sacre-Coeur and the Montmartre area, a half hour walk to the Louvre. Lots of little restaurants and shops nearby. Hotel room was clean, the bathroom was large and the front desk staff were incredibly helpful! We took advantage of the airport shuttle booking service offered by the front desk and were very happy with it. We didn't have the breakfast, but it did smell wonderful! Would definitely return.
