“We would definitely stay there again!”
We would highly recommend the Hotel Du Square d Anvers, where we stayed four days in June 2009. We were three adults, having 3 twin beds (the third added in as we arrived), and six suitcases. So obviously it was a little crowded but then again we were there to tour the city and did not intend to spend more time in the room then necessary. Everything was nice and clean, the bathroom/shower/tub roomy and clean too. The staff was friendly and very accommodating, speak a little English too, the breakfast was tasty and very inexpensive. The location is a few steps from a Metro station. We would definitely stay there again!
“will certainly stay there again”
-reasonable rates - good service - convenient - clean - quiet -the rowdy person was booted out
“Very comfortable stay”
Basic but very clean and comfortable. Good as a base to see Paris near the metro.
“Worth it =]”
The hotel was really good, excellent value for money. Big rooms and bathroom and comfortable beds. Has a tube station just around the corner, a few blocks away from Sacré Coeur and a gorgeous restaurant just around the corner as well. Just the breakfast was a bit disappointing, but there is plenty of brasseries around. We had a lovely time there and if we go back to Paris again, we will definitely stay there.
“really impressed!”
I've stayed in the hotel for three nights. Didnt expect much, but my expectations were met and exceded. friendly and professional, well english speaking receptionists, simple, but clean room with a view to the park(by the way if u dont mind paying bit extra, choose the room in the 6th floor with the view to eifel tower as my friend did:) location is great, just literally 5min walk from sacre coeur and about 20 from mulen rouge, just be careful walking back from mulen rouge at night, people around that area are truly intrusive.
“3 minutes to Basilique du Sacré-Cœur”
Management and staff were very friendly and helpful. They could all speak English so we didn't have any problems at the hotel nor anywhere during our stay in Montmartre.
“Nothing fancy, but perfectly fine”
While the room was nothing fancy, it was certainly adequate for our needs. The beds were comfortable. The size of the room and bath were bigger than I had been led to expect by friends who have traveled to Europe. In a great location, below the Sacre Coure and close to the metro. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I only know a few basic French words. I would go back.
“Good Value near the center of Paris”
This is not the type of best hotel. But the best in terms of value! We searched and many hotels in Paris are much more expensive. This one is located very close to Anvers subway station (walk 1 min) and so very close to Montmarter Church (2nd highest in Paris , next only to Eiffel Tower). Very convenient - a French restaurant next to hotel, shops all nearby, etc.) Pros- 1. good location, close to everything 2. great value, we asked other hotels and all cost more 3. clean room 4. good breakfast at 6 euros 5. the boss is very artistic and help us take some good photos 6. the staff is friendly Cons- 1. you need to leave your key before you leave, so they can clean you room because it is still old style locks and keys. 2. no heating (I was there in late April, still cold, about 4C at night) 3. I think no AC too in summer, which can be very hot in this hotel 4. you need to pay 5 euro for 45 min WiFi Last note: Ask for a room with a balcony facing the park. You can see the Eiffel Tower at 5th Floor room with Balcony !
“All Round Good Hotel”
Good hotel - friendly and helpful staff. Room was a bit small, but was expected. Wonderful views. Close to metro station (Anvers) and various restaurants are close by.
“No frills but no problems at all.”
This was a great hotel to stay in if you want a private room on a budget. There are no fancy amenities, but it's perfect for a bathroom and a bed if you'll be spending all your time sightseeing. I wish more cities had little hotels like this so you could afford to travel more! It was great to have this option.
