“Clean, convenient, excellent breakfast”
Very convenient - close to Gare du Nord and hence also to Metro stations and RER line B from CDG airport. Building works in progress when I stayed but they did not cause any problem. Excellent spread for breakfast. Rooms small as is normal for Paris but warm (it was freezing outside), clean and comfortable.
“A perfectly good inexpensive hotel in Paris, near the Gare du Nord station”
The Hotel de la Gare du Nord is clean, convenient, inexpensive. Room not large, but large enough. Bath and shower quite adequate. Remember, this is a train station hotel. Not the Ritz, but vastly less expensive. It is very convenient for those using the Eurostar train. The desk help was quite cooperative. The other patrons were ordinary middle-class travelers like you and me. The morning breakfast was not opulent but was perfectly adequate. No problems. No complaints.
“Very convenient location for travel connections”
The hotel is located one block from the Gare du Nord station, as well as a Metro entrance across the street. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Good English channel selection on the tv including CNN, BBC and CNBC. The English speaking staff was very courteous, helpful and friendly. A free bucket of ice was available at the front desk.
“Excellent hotel, but be careful in neighborhood and Gare du Nord station”
Very friendly, clean and comfortable hotel in course of renovation. Extremely convenient for Gare du Nord station and train to CDG. Only problem is the neighborhood including the station, which is heavily used by pickpockets, drug dealers, etc. My wife's briefcase was stolen at about 6.45am while we were trying (unsuccessfully) to buy airport tickets from a machine. The policewoman taking a report said that they get up to 20 reports of thefts on the station every day. BUT, with this caution, this is a first-class hotel and I strongly recommend it.
“ideal location”
For Gare du Nord rail station, location is ideal. Very spacious room: large bathroom-recently refurbished; separate loo. very quiet except for occasional train rumble from below? Excellent breakfast; friendly and helpful staff. No complaints at all.
“Superb value for money”
Was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I was travelling by an early Eurostar train the next day so I needed close proximity to Gare du Nord. I was expecting them to take advantage of their great location by offering poor quality service, but I got just the opposite. The staff were very helpful and pleasant (not something I've experienced often in Paris), the facilities are good value for money, the room was clean and the bathroom was brand new. Good water pressure! They offered two tiers of wireless access, slow/free or fast/small-fee. There was even a kettle in the room for tea and coffee. The location can't be beat. It is literally a stone's throw from the Gare du Nord station so very convenient for early morning travelers. It's surrounded by cafes and restaurants so it's convenient for food. And the hotel staff kindly put information in the room about where to find nearby ATMs, pharmacies, and other useful services. (The cafes and restaurants nearby also cater to tourists so the menus are multi-lingual). The hotel also offers a buffet breakfast, but I went to a cafe so I can't comment on it. The only downsides I encountered were that the floor creaked, and the walls were a little thin. But the windows are all double-glazed so it kept out traffic noise. Excellent value for money, I highly recommend it.
“Hotel de la Gare du Nord, Paris”
Hotel is very convenient and near to Gare du Nord rail station. Metro and RER stations are at Gare du Nord. There are a number of good cafes/restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are small but clean with all amenities. The breakfast buffet is excellent.
“Convenient location, friendly staff”
I liked the location which is just next to the Eurostar station, the neighborhood is quite rough (like around all big train stations in Europe i reckon ), but you're not gonna spend your trip around the gare du nord ! Staff was very nice and welcoming especially a young lady from breakfast team and the night auditor. Elevators were out of order which caused some troubles for few guests. Overhaul a good experience
“Close to Gare du Nord”
This is an average hotel, very easy to walk to from the station, close to the metro and many cafes and resturants.

very small room, a bit noisy, but extremely convenient at gare du Nord, a few minutes from CDG and 50meters from Eurostar
