“Would definitely return”
Best value for a three star hotel by far. Very well located in one of the nicest areas of Paris with wide streets and lovely trees.Well located to metro, good restaurants, grocery stores, cafes, bakeries and major sites e.g. Eiffel Tower, Napoleaon's Tomb,Ecoile Militaire It is a very safe area with helpful hotel staff. Our room was large, lareg bathroom, small desk and chairs, overlooked the tree lined boulevard with large windows opening onto the street and a view of the Eiffel Tower- what could be better? I expect the room may be hot in summer as we used the portable fan for better air circulation along with the built-in room air conditioner. The temps during our stay were 17-21C
“Impressed”
Great place for a beatiful stay in Paris, great location and great rooms. Staff very helpfull.
“Good Hotel and Location”
The view out the back of the hotel was our only real disappointment. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms. We had a very large bedroom and bathroom (rare for European hotels)and a nice sitting room with a sofa, table and a chair. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was great. The Metro station is a block away and there are several ATMs within a couple of blocks. There are MANY cafes, restaurants and grocery stores within a pleasant 5-10 minute walk.
“An Authentic, Charming Paris Hotel”
We loved La Bourdonnais! Our room was very spacious with three beds and a huge bathroom which included a separate bathtub and shower. The best part of our room were the lovely windows that opened into a charming little courtyard. Also, the bed linens and pillows were very comfortable, and we had plenty of hot water. The hotel is close (less than 5 minute walk) to the Ecole Militaire Metro stop and there are many cute bistros and grocery stores nearby. It is also about a 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. The dront desk staff was very helpful. They were very friendly and spoke English fluently. They were able to help us arrange our transportation to the airport at a great price. I would recommend La Bourdonnais.
“Parisian charm”
My daughter and I were here for three days and thoroughly enjoyed out stay. The location was perfect for us, and since we are walkers never took the metro. Eiffel Tower 10 min. walk, and 1 hour to walk to the Louvre.Enjoyable because we saw so much on our way!We loved Rue Cler, where we ate breakfast, dined every evening, visited open-air markets and shopped. We really enjoyed watching the Eiffel Tower twinkle every night on the hour from our 6th floor room. Enjoyed our room, and the bathroom was newly redone. The staff was very friendly, helpful and spoke English. We arranged shuttle service through them to and from CDG. Efficient going TO the hotel, but very tight getting to airport, as we had to make 3 stops on way and waited for late people. Might take a taxi next time to relieve the stress!
“Hotel Bourdonnais”
great location. We could walk to the Eiffle Tower, Rue Cler, rodin's museum, Napolean's tomb, the army museum and the Metro. Room was clean and adequate, staff was helpful, atmosphere was pleasant. Only thing to remember is that their breakfast is NOT included in the price. There is a grocery store practically next door and many wonderful places to eat near by.
“The best hotel in Paris!”
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, everything about our room was great. We loved our stay in Paris at this hotel. I recommend it to everyone who wants to be close to the Eiffel tower, Metro, and Rue Cler. : )
“WOW!! what an amazing city and an excellent Hotel”
Just returned from a 4 night stay at Hotel De La Bourdonnais and it was fantastic. I used this review forum to book my hotel so I thought I would return the favour and write one and hopefully help out somebody else making a booking decision. This Hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly. It is in the perfect location close to the Eiffel Tower, the Ecole Militaire Metro station, and Rue Cler (a great walking street just blocks away with plenty of restaurants and other places to eat). Rooms were a decent size and the the beds were comfortable as well. We fell in love with this beautiful city and are planning on going back soon and we will definitely stay at this hotel.
“Great Place”
Everything about this place was more then I expected, the room by European standards was very large, the coffee was excellent, the location was wonderful within a 3 minute walk to the subway and a 10 minute walk puts us directly under the Eifel tower. We got engaged while we were there so if you are there for romance or any reason I would HIGHLY suggest this hotel. We are in our late 20 and we both have traveled a lot in our lives (some 22 countries between us) and I would venture to say this was the best trip of all...
“Good hotel, great location”
About 4 blocks south of Eiffel Tower, 4 blocks west of Rue Cler. Grocery store right next door. ATM south around the corner. Entrance to Metro number 8 is past ATM, across the street next to the newsstand. From here you can connect to any other metro line. Bus routes 69, 82, and 87 are very close and can take you just about anywhere in the city. There are a countless number of cafes, bistros, brasseries, and restaurants within 1/2 mile. Arc de Triomphe, Champs Élysées, Le Bon Marché are all within walking distance. Notre Dame and Marais are a bit of a hike, but reachable on foot. Hotel had a great staff, very helpful, spoke English well. Did not try the breakfast. Hotel is a nice, old building. Staff and ambiance did not pretend to be more than they are -- a small, quaint, and well preserved hotel. Room walls were a bit thin, however. At the end of the day came back to a clean room; new towels and bed sheets. There are plenty of wine, cheese, patisserie, charcuterie, and boulangerie shops in the neighborhood. Room had a college dorm-sized refrigerator; held the cheese and charcuterie we bought. Bed was extremely comfortable.
