“Great little hotel!”

Clean hotel, hotel staff spoke english and very helpful and friendly, giving us directions and recommendations for dinner. Hotel is great location for exploring old Florence but far enough away that it is still great value!

“Very happy with this hotel”

Our first trip to Paris, and we found L'Orchidee to be a good value. This place is nice and clean albeit on the compact size (almost everything in Europe is fit tightly, we found). The staff were really nice and friendly, helping me to solve for our 110 volt deficiencies, and calling for taxi when requested. The room was clean and comfortable, nice window and view to the street. I even liked the breakfast deal and set-up. Paris' great subway system just around the corner, giving us quick access to anywhere in the city, but the Montparnasse section where L'Orchidee is located is really interesting too. I thought we had great bang for our buck, and would stay there again.

“Stayed Six Days”

This hotel was as good as they come for the price. The only detrimental aspect is the location. If you use the Metro, it is a very long walk from the hotel to Metro #4 which coveres most of the tourist sites. It is a good hike to Gare Montparnasse and a really long hike to the Metro platform. If you are hauling bags, you have a problem! On the good side, the staff is great and the rooms at the back are very quiet except at school recess! No big deal at all. Didn't take their breakfasts because of the cost. All in all, the hotel is very good but the location stinks.
