“Nice and confort hotel, Great locatlization”

Confortable and clean hotel. Modern structure. Nice and simple room decoration. Nice Loby, restauran and bar. Good guess atention. Great ubication: 100 meters from Gare Montparnase. You can go from here to almost any place in Paris by Metro. Airport Bus Transportation drives you in this station. 30-40 minuts walking from Eiffel Tower, Orsay, Saint Michel... A Shopping Center 10 minuts walking. Little supermarkets in the block.

Area recommendations
Montparnasse area. It is close from the typical turistic places, but at the same time is a little bite "out" of the crowded areas. Then it is paceful and you could see aother part of the parisian life style.

“good hotel”

this is a solid modern hotel, it does not have any special character but everything works and the rooms are a decent size. a cafe for breakfast takes a bit of hunting and the metro is a 5 to 10 minute walk. good modern convenience but not much of a parisian sphere ...

“Paris-Concord”

We had quite a few issues with them. Our minibar was not working and they replaced it but it still did not work. A/C was not working. Again they tried to fix it, but did not do a good job. After complaining they upgraded our room. Then things were fine. Nice hotel and very good location.

“A Modern, Efficient Hotel”

We stayed eight nights and would do so again. The room was small but clean (and kept clean for us) and efficient; the staff were smiling and responsive. The hotel and its surroundings aren't the picturesque left-bank Paris of the films, but rather the modern high rise Paris; however, the romantic streets and cafes are within easy walking distance and there are excellent metro and bus lines going everywhere. One caveat: in mild April-May weather, the room tended toward the stuffy. The air conditioning worked but didn't really cool things down too much and the window only opened a few inches. I had the feeling that they had the whole air conditioning system throttled back, a bit like on airplanes these days. Sure hope they increase the cooling power in the summer.

Area recommendations
I would recommend almost all of Paris as either interesting or lovely (usually both) except for the unfortunate area from Les Halles to the Centre Pompidou on the Right Bank. All that stuff that looked interestingly modern in the 70s looks dull today and is becoming shabby as a result.
Getting around
As tourists who wanted to get as full a feeling for all the different parts of the city during our nine-day vacation there, we quickly came to regard the bus as a far superior kind of urban transport in comparison to the metro. The bus is frequent, moves quickly through the streets, offers a view of the areas it runs through and, surprisingly, is not very crowded. Even at "rush hour" and on central routes, we almost always had comfortable seats as we rode. The only packed bus we encountered was late at night when they run less frequently. The bus routes are clearly marked on the little maps at the bus stops, and it only takes a couple of trips to get the hang of the system. We used the "Paris Visite" pass for all public transport. The metro is clean and safe but it's underground, almost always crowded (lots of standing), and the relative speed is offset by the fact that all but the smallest stations seem to involve long walks up and down the various tunnels and stairs to make connections or even to get out. Locals obviously choose it for commuting, but the bus seems like a better choice for tourists. Public transport in Paris is excellent in general, some of the best I've ever seen.

“Management needs to get their act together”

The hotel was fairly nice, rooms and bathroom were clean. Very close to Gare Montparnasse, which was great. Area was good. The bed and room size was fairly comfortable for Europe. On the down side, our mini fridge was not working. We reported it to the front desk and it was never fixed during our three night stay. Also, our room was not ready at the 2:00 check in - which I thought was a late check in. They did give us a voucher for a glass of wine to have in their bar until our room was ready - not until 4:00 p.m. Lines were long and slow at the front desk. You have to use your room key to use the elevator, which was not explained to us, so heads up.

Must see
Have to see the Eiffel Tower and go to the summit! Also, the Louvre is hugh, and would be the second thing I would see.

“Not Impressed”

The hotel is in a good location in Montparnasse. it is near metro however, when you reach the metro sign you have to walk around 10 minutes under the ground to reach metro. the rooms are small. we have problem with doors, when we close the door we have to make sure that it closes properly. elevators are very small and most of the time one of them is working and others are out of service. there is a queue in front of the elevators and normally we have to wait about 10 minutes in Hotel lobby ( mostly morning around 10) in order to use elevator. the staffs are not polite and the check in procedure is very slow. on our arrival day there were four section in reception area and four people behind them but only one of them served the guests and other were talking to each other and it takes about 30 minutes to check-in !!! after that, we went to our room and decided to go out we went to information desk to ask about the map and walking direction to metro. we wait about 10 minutes and ask several time for somebody to come. unfortunately nobody came and we decided to go out and ask from somebody outside.

“One the best 4 start hotels in Paris”

We got a really good price through Expedia. The hotel is centrally located close to services and essential amenities that most tourists need. The Metro and bus stations, Air France buses stops to and from the airport, rent a car, shopping, major train station, Gallery Lafayette and a great variety of restaurants are within minutes of walking distance. The desk staff was very helpful and friendly. They all spoke English and had rather good knowledge of area and Parsi. Our room was well equipped, very clean, comfortable and quite. The area around the hotel seemed very safe. Getting there: We highly recommend to take Airport Shuttle buses to this hotel. They handle your lugages and it costs 16.50 Euro / person. Getting around: Use Gaite Metro Station, it is just a block from the hotel and very easy to understand. Get a metro map and street map from the hotel. On street map find the metro station number and find the station name from the legend. On metro map find the station name and draw a circle around it. Then it becomes easy to figure out which line and to what direction to take first, then at station change the line. We rented a car from U Car, at half the price other car rentals. A small UCar office is very close to hotel and they let you park in public parking across the street from the hotel for 2 Euro/night. Parking is a very big problem in Paris. In all we were very happy to pick Hôtel Concorde Montparnasse.
