All the staff spoke fluent English, the concierge was very helpful. Hotel was clean, great service and rooms were small but the usual for Paris. I miss it!!

“Atmospheric Astor”

This was our first return visit to Paris as tourists after 15 years and the Astor Saint Honore was a shot in the dark. My wife and I were impressed with the publicity and location but slightly anxious about some scary web reviews. During our 5 day stay we were delighted with the overall quality of the hotel, the attention from the staff and the food. Yes, the room was compact but we had a quiet courtyard overview on 5th floor and enjoyed the quality of the accommodation. The negative reviews we'd read were very misleading - were they at the same hotel??. We had a great time in Paris, are happy to recommend this hotel and would certainly go back.

“Great Place from which to explore Paris”

Traveling as an extended family we booked a suite and a second room. Both were spacious and very accomodtaing noting that this is an older city hotel. The suite on the seventh floor has AMAZING views of the Eiffel tower, and a decent view of the Sacre Cour and general Paris skyline (from the terrace patio). The second room, which was on a lower floor (at a lower cost) didn't have a view, but was still spacious and comfortable. We found the service top notch. The concierge provided an outstanding dining recommendation for our family. It proved convenient to book the room with the breakfast included. The location of the hotel is another positive. It is located on a quiet street tucked away from the main tourist areas, yet still close enough. You find yourself very close to the Presidential mansion and important embassies. The comfort of knowing that the area streets are patroled well at night, and not being in the center of loud nightlife makes the area perfect for a family visiting Paris.

“Very pleased.”

Just arrived back from a 16 day holiday in Europe. Astor was one of our favorite hotels. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and modern. The service second to none....And the location was great. We would definitely return.

“Will be going back”

I booked this hotel because my wife had become fed up with the snooty attitude of a more expensive hotel in the area than the Astor and asked me to find something else in the area. I was unsure about this hotel but reading the reviews I realized that there is a big difference in this hotel between staying in a 'deluxe room' and a lower level room. The deluxe room was just as in the picture and I never felt like you do in some hotels that you got the type of room you booked but the worst example of it. The attitude of the staff were very good and Denis the concierge - what can I say! We have found the hotel we will be staying in on our future visits to Paris!
