Charles X - This stylish lounge features deep-ruby banquette seating, antique-reproduction chairs, and original murals by fauvist painters Raoul Dufy and Kees van Dongen. Cocktails and light fare are served from morning until late night.

“A good impression & fair prices for Paris standards”
The hotel is located in a very good area. Close to touristic places and close to the best shopping and high quality brand stores. It is very quiet and convenient.
“Perfect location for a short break”
Brilliant location in main shopping area, and close to Champs élysées and fab restaurants. Hotel staff were very friendly and the room had character and was immaculate. Totally recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a central place!

Our first trip to Paris, and we were off to a great start. Rooms were very pleasant and hotel was in a great location. The staff were very accomadating, and we had a wonderful stay.

MY friend and I stayed in the astor for five nights. And our stay was simply amazing! The staff at the front desk and concierge are extremely nice, welcoming and helpful. Their english was very good too, for my non-french speaking friend. And if you can splurge on the breakfast, do it. It was a great start to every day; we went to bed not feeling sad that the day was over, but excited because we would eat breakfast the next morning. The bathroom was very nice. Even though some say the rooms are small, we thought it was still bigger than our dorm room. Very close to the metro, and very quiet at night.

“Excellent base for exploring the main sites of Paris”
The hotel is medium sized, on a side street (so no traffic noise). The room was very comfortable with a good sized bathroom. The staff all speak reasonable english if your French is rusty. Only negative comment is prices of items in minibar. Didn't try the restaurant, but the dishes sounded interesting and weren't exorbitant.

Quaint, lovely place in a great location for a first time visitor. Everything you might want to see within easy walking distance. Great shopping on Boulevards Haussmann and and Malesherbes and Rue Royale, and each local restaurant was better than the last! Room was a little small, but how much time will you spend in it anyway! Would definitely recommend.
