“Convenient location and very friendly staff”
My 15 year old daughter and I stayed at the Antin Saint Georges during our second trip to Paris. We knew what to expect from a European hotel and this hotel met that expectation. While it is not the most luxurious hotel, our room was clean, we always had hot water and we had clean towels everyday. The location can't be beat - it is within walking distance from the Roissy bus stop and is just steps away from the St Georges Metro stop. On our stay we met four members of the desk staff and all were very friendly and courteous and spoke very good English. I must say that Selena was very helpful when we checked in and Priscilla was especially helpful in the mornings when we had questions about the train to Versailles. She even looked up online for us to see if there would be shops open on Easter Monday. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much and would probably stay again!
“Not what we payed for”
We resereved rooms with 2 queen beds and a crib in each of the rooms. When we arrived we were given 1 room with one queen (double) bed and two single beds without a crib, and 1 room with one queen (double) bed, one single bed and a crib. We are also told that the hotel doesn't alllow a family of five (two adults, two kids and an infant) to sleep in one room. We had to pay for an additional room. So we payed for a room in which no one slept. The person on the front desk was very rude. With 4 kids and 2 babys we didn't have much of choice. The rooms were small. The location is OK. It is close to the metro, but not to close to the attractions. No free internet.
“Paris with Parents”
Hotel is situated at the perfect location, just few steps from metro station. The only disadvantage is location on the quite loud main road. Size of the room was typical for the similar Frenchie places, so everything was pretty all right. I would reccomend to my friends, it´s not top top hotel, but comparing price-service and quality, it will be extremely difficult to find better choice.
“Good Hotel”
The Hotel is easily accesible by public transport and the location is also good . The rooms are not very Big but are of a decent size .The Hotel staff is very helpful and helped us a lot by giving us directions .The metro is just few blocks away and you can to most of the tourist places using metro.
“very convenient to the metro. right down the street. only drawback is no internet access available”
great location near the metro. grocery store right down the street. staff very nice and friendly. No internet access, and room is not like the one pictured on the internet. room was cleaned every day...we enjoyed our stay...
“Great base camp for sightseeing around Paris”
First, it's important to note that the room sizes are small - do not expect North American-sized rooms or bathrooms. If you're looking for space and luxury, the Antin St. Georges is not the place for you. However, if you are looking for a clean, well-kept place to sleep, shower and get a good breakfast to start a day of sightseeing, this hotel is a good choice. The breakfasts served by the hotel are filling and well-priced and the room prices are good for the location. The hotel is half a block away from the St. Georges metro station, which is a 10-15 minute ride from Place de la Concorde in downtown Paris and about 15-20 mins from Gare du Nord train station. St. Lazare train station is only 2 stops away. If you're up for it, the Sacre Coeur is about a 25-minute walk, although you should be prepared for solid uphill walking (in addition to the stair climbing at Sacre Coeur should you choose to go up to the dome). We would definitely stay there again.
“Perfect for the Paris newbie....”
This hotel was perfectly situated for our needs as this was a first visit to Paris. It is directly across the street from the Metro (St. Georges) and has many little shops and restaurants within easy walking distance--a big plus for us when we just wanted dinner in our neighborhood after an exhausting day of running around. We did have a couple problems with getting our electronics to work, but there are internet cafes everywhere. The service was warm and friendly, our room was always neat and tidy, a shower head issue the first day was promptly addressed and fixed by the time we came home that evening. The breakfast is delightful! The room and beds were quite comfortable--we expected it to be much smaller and were pleasantly surprised as we had read everywhere not to expect much. Overall, I would plan to stay here again.
“Great location, great price... great choice”
Nice little hotel in the heart of Paris... just steps to the St. Georges subway station - very convenient; the location is the best part of this hotel... it also is a very nice part of town, the subway entrance is located at a nice little square visible from the hotel rooms - makes a great 1st picture of Paris right after you unpack. The hotel is nice and clean; the restaurant downstairs serves breakfast for 10 euro per room, a great price given how expensive everything is in Paris - it also is a very nice breakfast... loved it. Overall: can't beat this deal, great location, great price, great choice... definitely recommended.
“Explendid location !!!!!”
Can't wait to go back. Verry good location !!!!! Kind staff attention.
“Clean and friendly”
We only stayed one night when we returned to Paris before we continued on our trip. The staff was friendly and our room was ready when we arrived early, the lady gave us our room with no problem. We were just hoping to have a place to store our bags but she got us registered and into our rooms even though we were hours before regular check in time. The night staff was not as knowledgeable as he couldn't find us extra towels and said they were locked up until the morning. I was travelling with my wife and two teenage daughters but they had only left towels for two in the room. Room was a little small but clean. Bathroom was clean but no shower curtain for the tub just a shower hose. The view from the top floor was at overlooking a small space between three building that were empty. However we could see the Eiffel Tower all lit up at night. We also got to see all the planes do their flybys for the Bastille Day celebrations as we were packing to go. Overall the hotel was clean and within walking distance (20-30 minutes) to many sites and train stations were 10-15 minutes. This hotel is not too badly priced in comparison to others we stayed at. The elevator and hallways are small but the surroundings give you a very good variety of archetichture of Paris. Reasonable but not fancy, it worked for us since there was four of us travelling, hotels were not easy to find and we found ourselves very comfortable at Hotel Antin Saint Georges.
