“great little hotel in the heart of paris”
This is a nice little hotel near the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Near Metro stops with other points of interest such as the Arc D'Triomphe within walking distance, this was an unexpected surprise. The hotel concierge even spoke english and was extremely helpful with directions, recommendations, etc. The rooms are quite small, but this is to be expected in Paris, I am told. Highly recommended.

PROS: 1) Nice safe location w/ easy access to metro, Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triumph 2) Very helpful staff 3) Air conditioned room CONS: 1) Ridiculously small room and bathroom, even by French standards 2) Breakfast is absurdly overpriced for what's offered 3) Fair amount of street noise in exterior rooms My wife and I spent 3 nights here in late July 2011 toward the end of a 3 week vacation that spanned Rome, Cinque Terra, Venice, Lake Como, Paris and London. I would place the Ambassade toward the bottom of the list of bang-for-your-buck compared to all of the other places we stayed during this trip. The neighborhood was fine (and hotel just around corner from Boissiere station on metro line6), but there's not really much to do there (we found ourselves returning to the Marais neighborhood time and time again, so will stay there next time we visit Paris). The room was very small, and the bathroom so small as to be dysfunctional -- I couldn't even dry myself off after a shower without banging into the door, and I'm a thin guy -- 5'11, 150lb. And breakfast -- uggh -- on day 1 we took a look at what was being offered for $18 Euros per person...yogurt, juice, coffee, and some iffy pastries -- and decided to go elsewhere. You can find much better options pretty much anywhere you go. On the flip side, the staff was incredibly nice and helpful (printed out a train ticket for us among other things), and the rooms had AC. But for the price, you can do better in Paris.
