“Pleasant Budget Hotel with Great Staff”

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 8 nights in late March and were pleased to find the hotel to be accurate to the good reviews. Though the immediate neighborhood doesn't offer too much in terms of charm, It is just around the corner from the Jacques Bonsergent Metro, so getting around isn't an issue. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, particularly Candi, who pointed us toward Place Monge and Rue Mouffetard in the Latin Quarter for shops and reasonable restaurants, an area I had neglected to investigate on a previous trip to Paris. The room was in good repair, with a private shower/toilet and a comfy bed. The lift is tiny but perfectly serviceable and very welcome as we were on the fifth floor. There is a small grocery store right across the street and a boulangerie at the end of the block as well as several nearby cafes and take away spots. We slept with the window open and the neighborhood is not the quietest, so earplugs would be helpful and I don't know how well equipped they are for the warmer months in terms of climate control. The free WiFi was serviceable for email, but uploading pictures proved problematic, though that may have been due to being on the fifth floor. Overall, I was very satisfied for the price I paid and would recommend this hotel.
