The Staff provided my family and me with excellent customer service, they upgraded our room to a suite and provided us with the information needed to tour Paris France, and how to use the Subway, I like the idea that the Hotel is across the street from the train station, We rode the ICE Train from Frankfurt Germany to PAris France,. I will recommend this hotel to friends and family, and I will stay there again. Thanks for your Hospitality

“For the price paid this is a good base in Paris”

For the price paid the Holiday Inn was very good - conveniently located for Paris Du Nord railway station and plenty of places nearby to go out and get food. Right by Gare de Lyon for the metro it works well! Quiet and welcoming.

“Weekend in Paris”

This was an excellent hotel for a short beak in Paris. It is centrally situated and on top of a Metro station. The hotel is a short walk from the Gare de Nord and faces the elegant frontage of the Gare de l' Est. The rooms are small but well appointed and the bed was very comfortable.

Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Spoke good English. Went for the basic room which was clean but small. No mini-bar. Very comfortable beds. Choice of soft and medium soft pillows. Bath narrowed at the shower end so feet a bit cramped when showering. Lovely view of the Gare De L'est from window. Room very quiet at night, though. Only one English TV channel (CNN) so a bit disappointing. Breakfast very good - wide choice from continental to good old scrambled eggs and sausages! Hotel right by Gare De L'est Metro so excellent for getting around.

“A surprisingly pleasant stay that exceeded initial expectations.”

I have stayed at quite a number of Holiday Inn hotels, especially in China and in Vietnam. I have also been to the one in Singapore quite a few times. I must say that Holiday Inn Gare de l'Est is by far, the best, on all counts. Also, considering it's near the train and metro station, I was initially worried about its conditions, but I was not disappointed at all. Everything turned out well, and exceeded my initial expectations. All my concerns started evaporating after checking in. The front desk staff were also quite polite, and more importantly, thoughtful to the needs of guests checking in or out.

“Great service with one word of warning”

This was a great place to stay except for one thing. They advertise air conditioning but their form of A/C was less than adequate. It was quite hot in the room despite A/C or opening the window. I am from southern U.S. and I know what hot is. It was beyond sleeping comfortably hot. Their service is fantastic, just beware if you stay there during the summer.

“Great Service!”

This was a good little hotel room. It wasn't very spacious, I went to my friend's hotel room and it was very spacious in another hotel so I don't really know but the location is very conveniently found next to the metro station and the service was amazing, the staff spoke very good english and would go out of their way to help you. I would definitely recommend it but beware that the rooms are not very spacious.
