“Interesting stay”

First thing: Never, NEVER agree to stay in rooms on 7th floor. For same money - rooms on 7 floor is 2 times smaller than on other floors and make your stay very discomfort. In the bathroom, room height around bath is about 1.2-1.4 metres high:P But on the next morning hotel shifted us on 6 floor and everything was great. Stylish new clean room. Good service and so on. Hotel is on reconstruction, so Condition of ground floor is not good. There is a funny sex shop next door to hotel. Good place in terms of transportation facilities.

Hôtel très sympa. Chambre (1er étage pour nous) très agréable et propre. Salle de bain top. Rénové avec bon gout, et très bonne situation par rapport à la gare de Lyon. Personnel très accueillant.

“Great Location”

Nice hotel, excellent location for Gare de Lyon, literally 2 mins away! Room was clean and perfectly adequate size for a stopover, although room could be seen as small. We wouldn't want to spend more than a weekend there.

“Father/Daughter Trip”

My daughter and I read reviews before we left for our trip. The negative ones were written by people I believe would never be happy. The hotel is in Bastille and located near a main subway hub which was perfect for our excusions. The staff was very helpful, checked in early which was a real plus after flying all night. The balcony afforded a great view of all. It was clean, quiet and offered everything we needed. Still has some renovations going on, but not a problem. The sex shop everyone wrote about next door you wouldn't even know was there other then the sign outside. Overall I would highly recomend this hotel for it's value, location and very helpful staff.

“Comfortable Hotel for Family”

The Holiday Inn Bastille was a comfortable hotel for our family. A king bed, along with a twin bed were provided for our stay with our son. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is neighbor to a sex shop on the corner, but no shady characters ever were around. The buffet breakfast is worth the money and provided good croissants, coldmeats, scrambled eggs, breads & cheeses, juices, coffee, tea. The location is perfect right around the corner from Gare De Lyon Metro and close to lots of restaurants. Dolce Vita is a great Italian restaurant a few streets down and excellent. All in all it was a good experience.

“Très bon Hôtel”

Très bon hôtel proche de la gare de lyon et du métro. Les chambres sont spacieuses et propres. J'y retournerai sans hésiter.

“Good position”

Good room and very comfy bed however no tea or coffee facilities in the room(apparently only available in their executive suites which all seems a bit 1970s to me) despite a dedicated space with plugs and to make matters worse no bar/room service to due to major upgrades taking place. Some noise from the workman espeically at breakfast in a rather tatty breakfast room. Having said all that - good position for sight seeing and station, good local cafes/restaurants - small suppermarket opposite for water/fruit etc. Staff were polite and helpful.

“Paris Trip”

Hotel staff very welcoming and helpfull.Hotel rooms were as expected clean and tidy. Even though the hotel is on busy road the rooms were very quite and could have a good nights sleep. Plenty of eat outs in surrounding area. Very near to train station with good acces to metro services. Our stay at holiday inn was pleasent.
