The hotel is very well located for the Palais Garnier Opera House. It has a thriving and attractive coffee shop on the ground floor. Our first room 42 was very small indeed and with a sloping ceiling. The bathroom was tiny and the sliding door would not stay shut. We asked to move, which was pleasantly accommodated. Room 62 was still tight, but has full height ceilings. We found it surprisingly penny pinching when we were staying for 5 nights that we were only allowed two Nespresso capsules and were expected to pay for any more. We had to ask for additional toilet paper. There was no shampoo in the container on the shower wall. We had to ask for an extra towel, as there were two of us. These are all very small points, but taken together, they lowered our opinion of what could be a very nice, albeit compact, hotel. The reception staff were very helpful, but perhaps there is a need for a greater management input.

The area where the hotel is located is generally safe. It's about a 5-7 minute walk to the Galeries Lafeyette which was awesome! And from the Galeries or if you take a detour and walk to the Angelina cafe for brekkie or directly to the Shopping Street (Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré) depending on your walking speed, it's about a nice 20 minute walk which isn't really too far especially since I love the cold. You hardly break a sweat. However the space was a little tiny - lift, room walking space, the corridor to the rooms. I was the only person in the room with 3 big luggage and a carry-on and if I find it a tad small, having 2 people in the room may be a bit of an inconvenience. But it is what it is cause space is like a commodity in Paris. So I can't complain as it was a generally very nice boutique hotel. Clean and relatively safe. You have a cafe in the hotel building called Wild & The Moon. They are vegan cafe so for the vegans, here's a good option. I didn't get to try their teas or cakes which looked really good but I did get a bottle of juice which was really awesome.

Unfortunately the walls are so thin and the rooms not soundproofed in any way that I was kept awake by the person in the next rooms snoring, which travelled in a manner that made it seem like they were in the room with me. It’s for this reason I cannot recommend this hotel.

The hotel is good. The rooms are irregularly shaped, so they feel smaller than they are. No AC yet, but the rooms have fans. Clean and tidy. Good location. Staff are cheerful and helpful.

Great boutique hotel with awesome location!
What an amazing stay! I want to address other concerns I have read about in here. Is the room small? Yes, it is a small boutique Parisian hotel. It kept us close but in no way impacted our stay. Is the elevator tight? Yes, it is a small boutique Parisian hotel. You cannot beat the service, location and cleanliness of this hotel - especially in this price range. The go as far as to send you a pre-stay survey to make sure you have the best stay possible. In the survey I mentioned that my husband and I were celebrating our 20-year anniversary and we had a bottle of wine waiting in our room for us. The front desk staff were able to even help with a bit of French (Bonjour is used in the morning). The car service they arranged for us to get to the airport upon our departure was a great help! The location is amazing - walkable to everywhere. You are very close to the Louvre and the Opera but we were even able to walk to the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. This hotel was awesome!

Great location but small rooms. Cafe downstairs has coffees and other eco treats. Nearby restaurants are expensive. Other than McD and BK. Metro is close. Depending on room, quite noisy during day but ok at night. I would stay there again because of its plusses

Just Don’t Do It. Don’t Book Here
We had a terrible stay, they ruined our honeymoon. Don’t let the pictures or other reviews fool you, the rooms are very very tiny. You won’t be able to open a suitcase on the floor, property is very smelly. The first night we stayed WE FOUND A RAT inside of our bedroom and we panicked and had to open a window so it would leave (My husband is also very allergic to rodents, rabbits etc). Once we complained there was no one at the front desk so we had to call hotels.com who also couldn’t contact the hotel. We were told they could only change our rooms but not switch hotels because it would have to be a decision made by Moinsure Helder. The next day we were told they were going to move our bags into the new room…… We came back after a long day expecting to have a new room, the key they gave us was to another room with someone else’s belonging. They had misplaced our luggage and didn’t assign us a new room, we had to wait again until they would assign us a new room and locate our baggage after giving away our current room to someone else. Overall bad experience, staff is rude particularly at night after coming late from being in the city. Do yourself a favour and avoid this hotel at all costs, wouldn’t come back even if I was paid to.

Clean, safe, quiet and close to everywhere.
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Staff are very friendly. The room is clean and quiet. You have mini bar in your refrigerator for small charge. Coffee maker tea and coffee provided in your room. You have everything around you different type of restaurants. 10 minutes walk to louvre museum, 2 minutes walk to Opera and 15 minutes with metro to Eiffel Tower. Metro is cross street. The hotel is one block from the Galleria Lafayette the most beautiful 6 level mall. We will definitely stay here again very comfortable and safe.

Perfect stay in Paris
Our stay was amazing. Great location in Paris to explore everything by foot with average 20-30min walks. Great hospitality and breakfast in bed. The rooms were amazing, very clean and great size. Everything we needed and staff were very accommodating. Great cafe attached too. Would really recommend.

I reserved in Monsieur Helder for only one reason, Having a parking, but surprisingly, when we arrived from a road trip from Strasbourg to Paris "driving for around 6 hours" the guy at the reception told us their is no parking and that its wrong what is stated on the Hotels.com and it is not updated, i was really disappointed, having a parking spot in Paris is IMPOSSIBLE in Christmas period, on another hand, the room was very small, bed not comfortable at all, pillows not comfortable, but everything is clean, toiletries is not bad, and one more thing, when we arrived for checking in i asked for help in the luggage and in a very cool way, the receptionist told me : This is a 3 start hotel we have no one to help you, its just a bad experiense in Monsieur Helder that i will not repeat when visiting Paris again.

Great boutique hotel close to the Opera
Fantastic boutique hotel, 5 minutes walk from Palais Garnier (Opera) and a couple of metro stations. Staff were very friendly, and the room was really quiet and comfortable. It was a nice touch for them to provide hand gel in addition to bottled water. I didn't use the on-site cafe, but they looked to have healthy options available! Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect change of plans
While I booked to stay at this hotel, when I arrived it was closed (due to Covid). But someone was waiting for me and they had booked me in their sister hotel Monsieur Cadet, which was awesome. They handled the whole experience perfectly.

Overall had a good experience. The room was spacious (for a European city center hotel) and cleaned daily. I was surprised to find the bathroom had a tub! It was nice to have a hot soak after a long day of exploring the city. The location is convenient to several Metro stops. It could be a bit noisy at night however the heavy blackout curtains helped. Liked the full windows which opened out to small garden window boxes, very charming. Good basic value and helpful friendly front desk staff.

It was a great stay overall. The concierge service was great. However we did have some tap issues which was not rectified even after complaining. The area was extremely close to lafayatte and open bus tour. Our street had many Chinese restaurants, right behind was Burger King, McD and Starbucks. Great location rather tiny elevator though. My only negative perspective to it, is that there is no lounge for travellers to sit when they arrive early for check in, or wait to be checked in.

Good Location
The room is small but is clean and nice. The location is good where there is a near by Mac and Burger King. The train station is just 3 mins away and there are food and shopping nearby. Overall service is good.

Stayed there for 3 nights and have to say I absolutely loved the location and the staff. It is 2 min away from the subway, about 30sec away from many buses and is in a great location with plenty of really cool looking restaurants around (didn’t get the chance to really go into any of them but they looked great). The staff went above and beyond, helping me with my suitcase, lending me a converter and smiling all the time. The only criticisms I would have would be on the thickness of the windows as I could hear the footsteps of people walking on the street and the first night someone kept being really loud outside (though I noticed on the last night that one of my windows wasn’t properly closed so maybe that was it?). Also, in the bathroom, I could never figure out a good place to set down the soap. It’s a tiny detail but even though the design was sleek, it wasn’t very functional. Same thing for the shower, though the water pressure and heat were optimal! All in all, I absolutely recommend it!

All in all a really good experience.
The hotel was easy to find and close to a lot of restaurants and public transport. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who stored our bags until check-in was ready, we arrived very early. We returned to the hotel and the room was ready (room 44). We used the internal lift which was fine, room was spacious with wardrobe storage, safe and coffee facilities. Room was modern and well presented, bathroom was bigger than I expected given previous reviews and pictures, plenty of space, and shower had really good pressure and hot water. Staff were friendly when asking for directions and allowed us to leave our bags secured after check out until we were ready to head to the station. Wifi was goo and easy to use, had a strong signal. Didn't try the breakfast.

We checked in on Saturday morning and the two ladies present were absolutely wonderful. Very kind and professional. One of these ladies has exceptional good manners and is a credit to the hotel (she was on the afternoon shift). Location is ideal for tourists and shoppers. Paris is best seen on foot and everything is accessible from here. Area is very safe and easy to find. There's a McDonalds and Burger King just a few metres away and lots of other eateries, cinemas, shops etc. Room was large by Parisian standards and very clean. Bed was comfortable and the power shower worked a treat. We were on the second floor and couldn't hear any noise from the street. The kettle in the room was a nice touch.

Paris Oasis for a Weekend
My boyfriend and I recently stayed here for 2 nights (Friday-Sunday) and it was absolutely perfect. Our hotel room was small, but so comfortable (we didn't want to get out of bed!). Our room had street view, so we had nice natural light that came in. The only downside, but we thought it was the funniest thing ever, was that the actual toilet was separate from the bathroom. What we thought was a mirrored closet was in fact the toilet. It was a tight squeeze, but we laughed and made it work. For the price, fabulous location and cozy room that was the least of any worries. Also, the WiFi is free and reached our room without any issues (we were on the 6th floor). We never had any issue on our phones or laptop about connecting or losing connection. Location wise, this hotel is amazing. You are a 2 minute walk from the Opera house, where you can catch the metro and the RoissyBus to CDG (which was super convenient for check out and getting to the hotel). Additionally 3 minutes north of the hotel is another metro stop, so you won't have any issue getting around the city. You're less than a 10 minute walk from the Louvre and Tuileries Gardens. The staff was extremely helpful, they helped us locate restaurants and even called and made a reservation for us. The area was really beautiful and shops and restaurants were nearby. It was a wonderful place to come home to after a long day of walking and sightseeing. I will without a doubt stay here the next time I'm in Paris!
