“Will Stay Again!”
So French! The hotel does not stand out on the block, but it's convenience is a standout. Great neighborhood and delicious patisseries nearby. Grocery store with fresh fruit next door. Subway at end of block makes all attractions accessible. The room was all bed. A most comfortable bed! Great windows that open for fresh air. Bathroom very clean but small. Breakfast most adequate. Coffee is hot and tasty. Staff most helpful. WiFi available and working. I felt like I lived in the neighborhood. Great get-away. I will return!
“Nice hotel in Paris”
The room is quite big and comfortable compared with other hotel rooms in Paris (at same price range). The safe box in the room is a plus. The hotel is located in a very nice area and Subway is just 5 minutes walking distance. We will definitely go back to this hotel next time in Paris.
“Charming and welcoming”
We were very impressed with this hotel. it is a little off the beaten touristy path in Paris. If you have just a little French and are willing to make an effort the staff at this hotel are extremely accomodating. I have to been to Paris many times and never felt as welcomed as I did here. The staff entertained and encouraged our attempts at using French, while their excellent English insured we had everything we needed without a language struggle. The hotel was in a delightful neighborhood. Very well kept and reasonably priced. I rarely write reviews, but felt this experience required the extra effort.
“Bestest!”
Very nice hotel for the price. Loved everyting about it. I especially loved this Asian restaurant next door. The very best spicy noodle soup ever! Location on this hotel is pretty good with walking distance to lots shops n restaurants. The metro was around the corner n a very pleasant 30 minute walk to Notre Dame. We really enjoyed the night clubs at the Latin Quarters. We would definitely come back to this hotel.
“Recommended, but with small caveats”
I live and die by my internet connection and the wifi in the hotel was very inconsistent. The maids unequivocally ignore "do not disturb" signs. I keep one on my door at all times since I don't need or want the room made up every day; they came in regardless. One morning I slept in and they went ahead and entered my room. They even replaced the towels I chose to reuse for more than one day and replaced partially empty shampoo bottles...not very green!
“A fabulous trip”
Even though my room was tiny it was spotless and on the front of the hotel with a tremendous view. The hotel was extremely quiet and the bed was very comfortable; I was usually out all day long. The desk was most helpful and friendly. The breakfast every day was just enough and I felt the small dining room was cozy, not cramped. This was a great hotel for an old lady traveling alone, I would not hesitate to go back.
“nice area...great people”
I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the neighborhood was. the hotel personnel were helpful and very welcoming. Breakfast was included and w as good as well as substantial. Metro and bus service were very close. I'll Ho back to this hotel next year.
“Small room, but nice remodeled bathroom”
You should note, no air conditioning. They do give you a fan in your room - but when the sun beats in the window it can get quite hot. The room itself was small, and could use a coat of paint. But the bathroom in our room (#58) seemed to have been recently remodeled and was very nice. Hotel staff were very nice and friendly, the included breakfast buffet was a nice quick easy way to start the day in Paris. The M5 line is right around the corner, easy to get to all the attractions you'd want to see. Also, free WiFi - which is always a plus.
“Good Hotel for the Price”
Overall, I was happy with the hotel. It could use a few upgrades, namely the breakfast and the amenities, but I think for a week in Paris it was a good choice. There were plently of cafes/restaurants around and it was within walking distance of many of the major attractions. There was a free breakfast which really helped with my budget friendly trip, but it offered a small selection of food and it was the same every single day. The room was small, but nice. Staff was also very helpful. If you are looking for a simple hotel with the basics this definitely fits the bill. Don't expect to spend any of your down time there, though, as there isn't anything to do at the hotel. We instead spent our free time at the local gardens and cafes.
“Snotty Front Desk Staff”
Overpriced, unwelcoming, and they lie about when the rooms are ready (did not let me in the room til 1:30 pm though I'd been travelling all night). Bathroom had hairs on the floor. Carpet looked un-vacuumed. Breakfast minimalist yet they want to charge 12 euros for it for outsiders. Coffee like mud. Very far from everything, long Metro ride to Gare du Nord. Never again will I rely on Expedia suggestions without doing my own lengthy checking first.
