“Charmingly French”
The hotel is quaint, friendly and very Parisian. About 100 yards from the metro, a few hundred yards from the Follie Bergere, a kilometer north of the Seine and in an area full of great restaurants. We had a splendid time and loved the hotel. It was clean, tidy and full of atmosphere. It was NOT one of those big international hotels that are the same in every country around the world, but had real local colour. The staff were friendly and helpful, even the guy whose first day it was.
“Nice but small”
The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms are quite small, but comfortable. We stayed in the fall, so the temperature was nice, but our room did not have air conditioning, so that might be something to consider in the warmer months. I would recommend NOT paying in advance for breakfast with your room. You can add on breakfast day-to-day for the same price. Most Paris attractions are not walking distance from this hotel, but are easily accessible on the metro.
“Great location, friendly staff, excellent hotel”
pros - 2 minutes from subway that drops you at the Louvre's doorstep. - close to the Roisseybus drop-off, pick-up point for Charles DeGaulle airport. - laudry and internet cafe just around corner - close to Gare du Nord and Gare de l'est - small but comfortable room - very friendly and helpful staff who all spoke english fairly well. - very good prices for breakfast and mini bar items. - this hotel was better than some of the 3 star hotels we stayed in during our trip. cons - didn't seem to be hot water in evenings We would definitely staff at this hotel again!
“Great Little Hotel”
This was an excellent hotel for the price. Centrally located, clean, efficient, and reasonable. Only 5 minutes from subway access. I would definitely stay there again.
“Very good value for central Paris”
The room was compact, but had everything we needed over a weekend. Helpful staff. Location meant we could walk to Gare du Nord for Eurostar, and could get to the central attractions quite easily by Metro.
“Perfect”
Reviewing this hotel against it's star rating, it was extremely lovely, 10/10. I would definitely stay here again, the staff were warm, welcoming, extremely hospitable and helpful. Very lovely staff.
“Very friendly, clean, good location”
The management were incredibly friendly and helpful (and we were in Paris!), we expected to rough it a bit in a 2 star, but were very pleasantly surprised, we had everything we needed. Only drawback was proximity of metro line, a light sleeper could be disturbed from 5.30am when rumblings start, but station 2 mins away; lots of shops and restaurants. Bustling area.
“Very pleasant”
Great value for a well-located, clean room and friendly staff. Paris rooms are never huge, but this one was ample. Only downside was traffic noise with windows open 9closed provides excellent sound insulation.
“Excellent Base to see any of Paris”
This Hotel is a fantastically located base to see Paris. On bus and metro routes you can quickly get anywhere you want. Staff very friendly and helpful, rooms clean and quiet. Will use this hotel on every visit to paris from now on.
“Be Prepared to Be Personally Cared For”
I travel all over Europe, and have stayed in Paris numerous times. This is my favorite place to stay, because of the excellent service. The staff actually speaks English, is happy to speak with you and help with whatever needs you have, and they make you feel like you are their only guest. I was so pleasantly suprised, after dealing with indifference in other Paris hotels. The lady that serves breakfast is a lady indeed. Class act. Respectful and efficient. The man who works reception is a double of Hank Azaraia with all his charm. Of course, the rooms are clean and pleasant, the location good (quiet spot in central area), but the great staff is the selling point!! You will love them too.
