“Kids loved it!”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Explorers. As parents of 3 small children, European travel is always a challenge. Our suite at Explorers was inexpensive and had plenty of beds for all of us. Mostly our kids were thrilled with the huge pirate swimming pool and ballroom play area. Location was excellent and shuttle only took 5 min to get us to Disneyland, which was also the metro station, so convenient. Plenty of parking, breakfast was decent. But mostly, it was a relaxing atmosphere that allowed kids to roam and play, our littlest kept begging to leave Paris and go back to the hotel! Only complaint would be the mattresses, fairly thin and stiff.
“If you have the extra money splurge on one of the true Disney Hotels.”
Stayed for 4 days alot of things broken in the hotel and room and not welled maintained, breakfast consisted mainly of bread and a few fruits and cereals and yogurts. If you love bread this is your place to eat!. (suggestion if you take one of the breads and use the cheese and ham cubes and warm it up in the microwave it is pretty good) but you need to wait in line for the microwaves they have 2 for about 150 people. My grandson loved the pool and the slides and the pool was warm I think the worst is that you need to pay to use a towel and locker at the pool. You could take one down from the room though but the hotel only gives you 1 towel per guest in the room..WOW... towel shortage? Needless to say at this point..Not impressed but it was a place to lay down to sleep at night after a long day at Disneyland . If you want to visit the city of Paris. Take the shuttle from the hotel (very Convenient) to the Metro station in front of the park under 10 Euro for an all day pass you can hop on and off all day and see what you want to and 3 and uder are free it is pretty easy to get around and such a beautiful place to visit. make sure to take one of the many boat tours they have it is beautiful and not to pricey to do. Bottom line. If you are American and or if you have visited the US and are familier with the motel chain Motel 6, this is comparable..bare minimum no bells and whistles not to dirty and OK only if you need a place to sleep. Loved my visit to Paris and Euro Disney.
“not too bad ,, wouldn't go there again”
no air conditioning, no shampoo, poor quality of towels, had to rent pool towels, convenient to disneyland paris with good bus shuttles, grounds well maintained, pleasant atmosphere, check-in service poor, front desk service very poor, in order to get information for other tour services had to go to the New York hotel at disneyland, restaurant staff was very helpful, and the outlet shop cashiers were very friendly.
“Explorer Hotel Review by DVC Member”
Hotel clean and convenient. No AC but that is not unusual for France. Excellent morning breakfast buffet included in price. Free parking but also on Disney Bus circuit. Near to all theme parks. Excellent room rate & free wifi.
“Nightmare in Disney Euro”
Having visited all Disney locations in USA and being used to the great and friendly service associated to those experiences, this one was way far from even being mediocre. Staff at the hotel were not friendly in any way or fashion, service was marginal at best. The hotel was not clean and food was the worst I have ever seen. I think prison inmates at San Quentin eat better and have better choices. Staff only talked french and trying to get extratowels and pillow for the kids was an adventure. Phone at front desk was never answer, and I called 27 times. I needed ice and asked for a pitcher of ice and they charged me 10 Euros for the ice. The only good thing was the location, near the parks. The excesive cost or the rooms per night did not compared with the poor service, unfriendly staff and marginal food and quarters offered by the place.
“Clean and close to Disneyland, Paris”
The hotel was clean and close to Disneylnd, Paris. We were happy that a free shuttle ran to and fom Disney regularly. The hotel has a nice pool which the kids loved. The hotel is very busy with many families so there is a lot of noise including banging of doors throughout the night so the hotel is not recommended if you are looking for a quiet getaway. We were a bit disappointed with the breakfast - it was obviously done to cater for the masses of guests in the hotel. Overall fairly good value for money bearing in mind the many times more one would pay to stay in one of the hotels inside the Disney parks.
“Explorer”
The hotel team were friendly, Location great. Very good family atmosphere. We had great time.
“Disney Paris”
Just asome, great service!!!... Just becarefull in Paris, we got robbed near effiel tower. The rest just great!!
“Good Hotel”
Enjoyed the stay. The pool was fun for the kids. The breakfast offerings were limited compared to our last stay at Dream Castle.
“Disney Fire”
No a/c in most of rooms. Was explained that this was a norm for "3-Star" hotels in Europe though on our trip we never experienced this again. Seemed like most of staff was a manager in training. Whenever you requested or mentioned by name someone who had "promised" you something that person was gone for the day or that the new person could handle. Was promised a suite..then told there were none even though we paid for one. Were put in a room with a/c but it didnt work. Were promised a mini fridge with refreshments but didnt get that till i mentioned it then they questioned me on who told them that. Toilet broke in new room so we were told to use lobby because maintenance had gone for the day. When we finally said enough was enough they found a suite..then said qiute plainly no refunds. I work for disney and this was hands done the worst property we have ever stayed at.
