“Awesome!”
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, even if it was only for one week. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay there again.
“Conveniently Located, Friendly Service”
The Hotel du Centre is located about a block south of the Folies Bergere, near two Metro stations (Cadet to the north and Grands Boulevards to the south) serving three lines. There's a market across the street and numerous restaurants in the neighborhood (Japanese, Chinese, Mexican, Jewish, and French). Plenty of restaurants and bars around Grands Boulevards Metro Station. The service was friendly and helpful. The staff all speak English. The currency exchange at the hotel desk was fair for small amounts. The hotel breakfast consisted of two types of cereal, bread, pastries, yogurt, ham, cheese, usually canned fruit, coffee, milk, and juice. It was more than adequate to start the day. Rooms are typical European small: two twin beds with nightstands hanging on the wall, a desk with a TV, and built-in closet occupy all of the available space. The bathroom is adequate, but the shower is small (I'm 4'10" and 140 lbs for your reference). All in all, a good value.
“Comfortable and Central”
A perfect central location at a very reasonable price with extremely friendly staff and warm atmosphhere. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will probably go back here myself.
“My favorite hotel in Paris”
This is my favorite hotel in Paris, the location is great, close to the Metro, lots of good places to eat, stores nearby and lots of local activity. The best aspect of this hotel is the staff, they all speak English well and are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are typical of European hotels, if you dont know what that means you will be in for a surprise. The best room is located directly above the lobby and has a balcony facing the street. The street that the hotel is on is a small one and not shown on some maps so if you plan on finding it on your own you should print out a map ahead of time. You can take the bus from CDG to the Opera and walk to the hotel or take the Metro from the Opera to the Grands Blvd stop.
“Geat Place to Stay all around”
Ok so the hotel is small but thats expected not only because it is Paris but its location. It was probably built in early times and remodeled many times which explains the retro interior and size. So expect maybe a smaller room than expected and a ver small bathroom. If you are heavy set I dont recommend this place. P.s te lift is soooo small it on fit me and my suit case so I stuck to the stairs. Service- every employee was helpful even the cleaning staff. Though everyone spoke french to me which I dont mind because I understand. But they always speak french first, especially if you dont look like a tourist or traveller which i never do. Location is amazing its within walking distance to everything in the central area (Eiffel, Lourve, Notre Dame) And if your not a walker theres is a metro like two minutes or less away. I recommend getting the pass for the metro.(also offered in activities throug expedia). There are even a few train stations within walking distance Didn't have trouble feeling safe or anything I was out walking alone at all hours of the day and I am a young female. But if you go near Moulin Rouge be careful they have some slick creeps that prey around there (no worries its not that close to the hotel)
“Would you recommend this hotel to a friend? YES”
everything was perfect, great location and friendly staff.
“Great Location, Friendly Staff, Great Hotel”
My Fiance and myself stayed at the Hotel Du Emeraud Lodge, on March 24 - 26 2012. We found that the Hotel was easy to find, we recieved a warm welcome from the staff when we got there, who were friendly and helpful throughout the duration of our stay. The hotel is on a nice little side street away from the busy traffic noise. Some reviews have bemoaned the size of the rooms / lift. but Paris is a City of historic older buildings, and narrow streets, and the hotel has small rooms and is in a narrow street, but it's Paris, surely if you do your research then thats part of the City's unique Charm. So yes the rooms are small, and so is the lift, but who cares! - if you want a big room, then go and stay at a faceless grey concrete block of a corporate / chain hotel! We will definately stay here again
“Hôtel très bien situé”
Hôtel très bien situé car très proche du quartier des théâtres. Quartier très animé et agréable. Excellent accueil à l'hôtel. La chambre donnant sur une cour intérieure est très calme. Chambre petite mais fonctionnelle et complète (mini bar, plateau de courtoisie...). Salle de bain bien équipée avec sèche cheveux. Juste un bémol pour le petit déjeuner, le personnel est un peu dépassé quand affluence.
“Good location”
You get what pay for, location near to Gare du Nord and two metro stops (direct lines to the Lourve and Trocdero (near to the eiffel tower), resturants around the hotel are cheaper and a food store near by to buy essentials needed. Rooms are small but clean, staff are polite and speak english. We had a great time in Paris the hotel overall was a great base for our trip.
