“Good for a quick trip on a budget”
It was perfect for a quick trip to Paris and France when you are on a budget. Room was fine and staff most accomodating. Parking was located close by, and many restaurants nearby. Close proxmity to metro and tourist sites was perfect.
“Small and Quirky but in the 16th, very close to the Tower”
Came to Paris to see the Monet showings. Stayed here because of location between Grand Palais and Marmottan. Also because it's just a few minutes walk to the Tower, Tomb, and Rue Cler. Near Ecole Militaire metro and cross town bus stops. This is a small hotel on a very quiet street in the 16th arr. between Grenelle and Saint Dominique. Many ex-pats and au pairs reside here so English is a common street language. The hotel is In process of renovation, and my room still had ripped wallpaper and wall scuffs. Steam heat but no air. Some rooms only have enclosed courtyard windows. Breakfast is expensive unless packaged. But plenty of bistros, patisseries, and delis nearby. Starbucks a few blocks on Ste. Dominique. I had a full bath, flat screen TV, available wi-fi plus fee computer on lower level. 24 hour desk, door always open.
“if you want to walk everywhere”
hotel is located very close to eiffel tower and several important places. you dont need to take metro or taxi for travel. we only took metro to chateau versailles. its close to montparnase and st germain also which are beatufull places to hang on. but because of renovation procedures in the hotel and other buildings on the same street there was so much noise especially early in the morning. and rooms were very very small to fit in. and you can hear everything and every voice from othe rooms. in summary there was so much and every kind of noise. on the other hand there is no smile on the face of hotel staff, which I did not used to see in Turkey (every staff have real smile on thir face) they dont want to speak in english. arabic peaple who sell sovenior around the eiffel tower were the only english speaking people in paris
“How Are You Going To Keep Them Down On The Farm?”
Room was sufficient, clean and the bathroom had enough towels, bright, clean with sufficient hot water. Location is very near the Eiffel Tower and on a quiet side street. Not a main street. Breakfasts were excellent. Could boil your own eggs to your liking. Great French pastry. Cost 12 Euros per person. A little steep but the local restaurants were expensive.
“Not impressed”
the hotel is definitely 2 star. i thought it would be "european" standards 2 star. it's 2 star. the location to eiffel tower is 5 star. they were so great restaurants down the block that we ate at. no air conditioning in room, fan didnt work. was very noisy. they were doing renovations and it was noisy all morning. Paris is an amazing city and who cares about a hotel, right?
“Awful Hotel - Great location”
This Hotel Was the worst of the 5 we stayed at during our trip to Europe, all booked through Expedia. It is misleading in its pictures, our room was "under construction" or so it seemed. Walls were un painted and behind the TV there wasn't even dry wall, just the framework of the wall. The Bathroom was unclean, the people at the desk were simply RUDE, especially compared to the hotel staff at our other Hotels, and the continental breakfast cost 12 Euros. We bought a roasted chicken and brought it back to eat in the dining area (which only serves breakfast) and the hotel staff seemed to have a problem with us eating there and using two of there forks and knives. The elevator was very slow, drinks in the lobby were 2.50 for a coke, and it is located on a single lane one way street (back alley), with no view of the Eiffel Tower as the pictures suggest. The flowers in the Window Boxes are fake. I do not suggest this Hotel, but the location is great, find something else near by.
“excellent location”
awesome location and a hotel that more then met our needs... whilst they were doing some construction work we were always notified of when and construction never started to early or went into the evening.. would recommend this hotel to those who are looking for a clean, comfortable hotel in walking distance to the tower and plenty of cafes, bisros and bakeries aswell as a metro station
“I would definitely go back to that hotel if I were to visit Paris again.”
The Eiffel Rive Gauche provided me with a very nice stay. I also apoke with several guests in the hotel who felt the same way that I did. The location was convenient, the staff was friendly and they really were very helpful. Although it was not what I would consider to be a luxury hote, it was clean and functional. I would recommend it to others and would definitely stay there again.
“Great location; friendly service”
Eiffel Rive Gauche is a small but quaint neighborhood hotel in a great location. The rooms are very small, but clean. Those at the front desk were very helpful and communicated well in English. We would stay there again.
“Would Stay Again..and again...and again”
Loved it! Great location, go to Rue Cler to find excellent cafes and shops and just a train or walk away from EVERYTHING! Very tiny, very old, but extremely charming!
