“Looking forward to going back”

10-13 June. Hotel France d'Antin was an extremely well situated Parisienne Hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. We walked all over Paris. No need for taxis if you can walk ok. It is around the corner from L'Opera. Galleries La Fayette is within walking distance. I walked to Saint Chapelle on the other side of the Seine on the Monday morning prior to leaving Paris, it was easy walking and a delight, much better than taking a taxi. I thought breakfast was included,however, it was not. For 10 Euros I would have preferred to go to a French Cafe,sit on the street and watch Paris go by.

“Worked very well for us”

The hotel is located very near the Paris Opera house and also close to the hop on hop off bus route which made it very easy for us to get around and see the sights of Paris. There are loads of restaurants and cafes nearby and shopping galore. It has the tiniest lift we have ever seen but it worked very well every time but only had enough room for one of us and our 2 bags; but it was quick and so there was no real inconvenience having to go up in two shifts. The only small downside was the WiFi which worked well enough but is a prepurchased time limited card. We have used these elsewhere without a problem, but this one takes several minutes to warm up and to turn itself off even after you have disconnected and so chews through the time at an alarming rate. The hotel didn't realise there was a problem but were great when we told them and only charged us for one card. Check carefully that you have fully disconnected from the internet and we also turned our laptop all the way off to do our best to limit usage.

“Good value and great location”

Positives: good location, very clean, friendly staff, good sized room for Paris, modern bathroom, nice breakfast Negatives: room was a bit dark and could have used more lights, there was a slight musty smell but once the windows were opened it went away
