“Awesome Paris Trip”
Well the hotel was better than I had expected and the staff were very very helpful. The room was small but was so full of charm and was only really for sleeping in. The view out on the balcony was very good as well with a full view up and down Rue d' l Opera. The food was rather pricey (but good) but we found that in all of Paris. For breakfast we just went to different café each morning and that was also a great to see the streets and enjoy the culture. I would go back in a heart beat as both me and my wife really enjoyed it.
“Friendly service”
When the 3 of us checked in we were told we were being upgraded to a junior suite which was ready for us in a very short time given that we were checking in early. The entire staff were extremely friendly and accommodating especially given we couldn't figure out how to turn the electricity on in the room (the key card had to go in a slot by the door). Our room had a balcony right on the Avenue de L'Opera which had an amazing view, but wasn't at all noisy. It was a great place to watch the thunder storms from. The Starbucks across the street was fantastic for a quick breakfast before getting out to wander Paris.
“Great trip, Paris expensive!”
Paris is a wonderful city, especially for Valentines, even after 25 years! It is however, very very expensive, even taking into account the Euro exchange rate. The hotel was really great. The transfer from the airport was terrible. We waited 70 minutes and then he stopped for fuel, and then got a flat tyre! So, the first evening didn't happen. The return was fine, on time abd no problem. The dinner on the 14th was superb. The cruise, the meal, the service was perfect. Overall, a perfect surprise for anyone! But, save up to really enjoy those £1000 shoes!
“can't wait to go back”
The hotel was wonderful, it was clean, worm and welcoming the food at the restaurant was really good too. I really cant recommend it enough.
“Modern, Clean, and Comfortable”
We enjoyed our stay at the Edouard 7 hotel, on our recent weeklong trip to Paris. The Hotel was very conveniently situated to both Metro and bus lines that ran along the Avenue de l'Opéra. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful - especially going out of their way to find an available room for us at our early arrival (before the room we had reserved was to be ready). Probably most impressive was how clean, modern, and comfortable our room was. We stayed in room #407. It was just a pleasure to return to our room every day. The bathroom was very clean and relatively (by Paris hotel standards) spacious bathroom, including plenty of counter space. The same for the wardrobe/closet - we had plenty of space for our clothing and shoes. Towels were of a good quality and size. Air Conditioning worked very well. We do not watch TV much during our travels - but in case it interests you - the quality was fair, both in terms of image quality and selection of channels. Probably below the level you'd expect in such a hotel.
“Heart of Paris”
Edouard VII Opera Hotel is an old world hotel freshly renovated to modern standards. One of the few hotels in the heart of Paris with queen and king beds and the old world charm. Location is great -- half way between the Louvre and the Opera House, both must see. Easy walking distance to so much. In the heart of the financial district -- so many shopping locations. The hotel was renovating when we visited -- they upgraded us to a suite at no extra cost because of the noise on the lower levels due to renovation. A luxurious room. Everything was brand new and quite luxurious. The staff was very friendly and helpful -- treated us like special family guests. They help us with so many tours, dining, and personal services -- all with helpful smiles. They made us feel very welcome! Great place.
“Most helpful staff.”
I cannot recommend this Hotel highly enough. It is in a great position, with excellent standards of decor and cleanliness. Above all though, were the staff, who without exception, were some of the nicest, friendliest and most helpful I have ever come across. Air France had lost one of our bags, and they went to great lengths to track it down for us, and to keep us updated on its whereabouts and arranged delivery to the Hotel. They were also extremely good at suggesting local Restaurants. Generally nothing was too much trouble.
“PARIS HAS IT ALL”
In mid February we had an amazing fewdays in Paris staying at the Edouard VII hotel which is centally placed on the Avenue d`Opera. We found the Hotel to be first class and thestaff very friendly and attentive. Would had preferred tea/coffee facilities in our room , but if we needed hot water there was no problem in getting it brought to the room. For some strange reason our EC electrical adaptors did not fit the hotel sockets , but when we asked at reception they kindly provided one free of charge. We flew to Paris from Dublin with Air France with both flights on time and there was a shuttle bus from CDG to the side of the Opera House only 200m from the hotel. We would go back to Paris and the Edouard VII hotel
“perfect choice”
I was looking for a hotel that was exactly what Iwas expecting. I recommend.
“Excellent location for a shopping break or site seeing”
The hotel is very friendly and provides an excellent base for a shopping and/or a site seeing trip. The staff were extremely friendly/helpful and suggested some great local restaurants for evening meals. Travellers to this area of Paris should expect to find it expensive. The rooms are comfortable but are smaller than you might expect for a four star hotel; however the style is very Parisian. There are no coffee/tea facilities in the rooms. Facilities - The bar is great to sit in but drinks are expensive. The lounge space is quite small if you want to sit downstairs at the end of an evening. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to travellers who are looking for the real side and style of Parisian life. It's possibly not for those who like American size rooms and facilities. One other minor point - there are only two English speaking TV channels BBC World and a business channel, the rest are mainly in French.
