“The most perfect location. While rooms are on small side, they are very clean and have all you need.”
The hotel is in the best location if you want to see Paris and enjoy the neighborhood where you stay. The best places for breakfast, crepes, oh so French dinners, and wonderful shopping are all within blocks of the hotel. Then you can great access to the metro nearby- Can't beat the location and the lovely charm of a small French hotel.
“Would go back in a minute”
Ideal location, wonderful staff. The room was a bit on the small side, which we expected as the hotel is an 18h century building and the Ile St-Louis itself is quite small and charming. Our room looked out on a lovely interior courtyard, so it was sunny. The neighborhood had interesting shops, excellent restaurants, and Berthillon, considered the best ice cream in Paris. We could easily walk to the Left Bank, Notre Dame and Chatelet. A Metro station, Pont Marie was a few minutes walk. I would definitely recommend it.

“Charming Welcome to Paris”
This hotel is the perfect place to begin a Parisian stay. The location of the island (in the middle of the Seine River) allows easy access to the right and left banks. The restaurants and little boutiques are charming. The hotel management was friendly and helpful. They all spoke english. Our room was spotless and decorated in a very upscale style that reflects the general ambience of the hotel. The breakfast was perfect - soft boiled eggs, fruit, croissants, yogurt, cereal, cheese and ham. It was a great beginning to our discovery of this fascinating city!
“Lovely Hotel”
I know Paris well and had walked through Ile St. Louis many times, but never stayed there before. I assumed the access to a metro line would be bothersome. The opposite was true. In each direction off the island is a metro stop of a different line, so access was better than a more central location. The neighborhood is quiet and charming. Our room in the hotel was small, though, and difficult for 2 people to maneuver simultaneously. Hotel staff was friendly. Housekeeping staff as well.
“Gem on Ile St Louis”
Really lovely hotel. I will stay there again. Breakfast, usually a low point at any hotel, was delicious and beautifully presented.
