“Beautiful Hotel...fabulous location!”
If you want to be in the heart of Paris, where everything is just a few metro stops away, or within a mile walking distance, you'll love this location. major shopping within a block, metro is right next door, and little cafe's all along the street. The hotel is gorgeous, the concierge was beyond helpful and the rooms were large by European standards, with gorgeous huge bathrooms. We were SO comfortable in this room. The rooms on the front side of the hotel have balconies with a lovely view of the Eiffel tower. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone & would stay there again with pleasure.
“Loved Paris”
All of the reviews were right on. We visited Paris to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The Hotel was lovely, A/C worked well, rooms were quiet with no street noise to be heard, beds and linens very wonderful, bathroom was spacious and updated, staff was very friendly and attentive. It was convenient to major department stores and a grocery. We also had a view of the Eifel Tower out of our window, which opened so we could step outside and watch the Tower "sizzle" at 11:00 PM. The metro station was right next door and super convenient so we took the metro everywhere we went. Would definitely recommend the hotel.
“Best bathroom I have seen in Paris!”
Very attentive, gracious staff... Extremely friendly and helpful. The room was slightly small, but I think in part it may have been owing to how large the bathroom was! I would have been content sleeping in there. In any case, I would enjoy staying there again... the location is very good (right next to the St Lazare train station and Metro stop) and a 15-20 min walk to the Louvre, 8 minutes to the Opéra, 10-15 min to the Champs-Elysées, etc. Easy to get to Montmarte, etc. Only problem was that the hotel bar and restaurant were extremely expensive (a casual meal could amount to 80 euros easily)... I got coffee and a croissant daily at the Starbucks located in the same building (banal for Paris, but you gotta do what you gotta do!).
“Great hotel”
The hotel was in exellent condition. The service was very good as well. The concierge was especially helpful with restaurant recommendations and reservations. The location was also very central, right across the street from the metro stop and close to great shopping. I recommend this hotel very strongly.
“Highly Recommended”
A clean, quiet room with comfortable beds was most important. This hotel provided that as well as the ambiance. The on-line pictures were very accurate. The Deluxe room was quite ample considering the smaller sizes of rooms in Europe. The step-up tub may have been a bit of a problem for older people, but there were hand rails. The thick terry robes and slippers were perfect after a long day. All the staff were very accommodating and spoke English well. The concierge will arrange anything both before arrival and during your stay. A metro hub was right around the corner. This hotel cost more than our original choice, but was well worth it. Even though we initially wanted to stay in very small hotel to get the real "French" experience, we would go back to the Hotel Concord St. Lazare for the comfort and ammenities.
“Perfect hotel for traveling in Paris”
Very convenient location comfortable beds great view from the room quiet in the room, even though it is very busy outside
“Excellent! Super convienient, but skip the breakfast”
Hotel is beautiful and the staff was very helpful. I often expect European hotel rooms to be small, but this one was plenty big, and the bathroom was spacious too. The tub was a little high to climb into the shower, so beware if you have mobility problems. The location cannot be beat. It is right next to a major metro/train station with 5 metro lines and a suburban train (RER). Easy access to anywhere in the city. Great restaurants in walking distance. Skip the hotel breakfast, we ate there once. While the food was perfectly adequate, it was quite pricey. You would do much better going across the street for a pain au chocolat and a coffee and then paying the money you saved at breakfast for a nice bistro lunch. I will stay there again.
“A very pretty lobby, but the location is a little less than perfect.”
The hotel itself was very good, and if the lobby had been air conditioned, there may even have been a little socializing going on down there. Unfortunately, in the middle of July with temperatures in the 90's, the lack of air conditioning (in the lobby) meant that no one used it at all. The hotel's only other problem would be the location (right next to a very large train station) somewhat like being located next to Penn Station or Grand Central. After about 8 or 9 PM, the entire area was completely deserted - other than by the types of people who generally like to hang around large train stations at night... The hotel itself was lovely, the problem was strictly location, location, location.
“Looking foward to going back”
My first time in Paris which was great can't wait to go back, the hotel was better than we expected it. Found a cafe opposite where we had breakfast as the hotel was too expensive.
